A quiet campground even when full, that was nice. Some of the sites were hilly and the grass was very weedy so there were a lot of ticks in the area. The park was nice and there are a lot of activities. On the fence if we would stay here again.
Not a typical KOA. We usually like to stay at KOA's on the road, but next time we will bypass this one. A lot of "residents." Paid for a site with wi-fi, but when we got there were informed that it was an additional charge. Not a well maintained town.
Great new campground...very private sites and quiet for the most part (slight hum from I-35). There were a lot of trees to hide each site from one another. Great boat access. Our new favorite campground.
Great campground...lots to do! Bear Paw campground is a little more open, but less campsites...Pine Ridge has more trees, but seemed smoky and crowded when we biked through. This is now one of our favorite parks and looking forward to returning next year. Make sure to bring your bikes!
What a wonderful campground!! This was our first time staying here and we did not want to leave Sunday morning. The owners are great people and the location is perfect. We are already thinking of booking a month at this campground next year!!
We first went to a site that did not work for us at all...way too many low trees and a small area to back our fifth wheel in. We went to the office and requested a different site and they were happy to accommodate us and give us a site without any trees. The site turned out great, we had enough room to set up our screen tent along our fifth wheel. Caution to those with big units, there are a lot of low trees in the cul-de-sacs and it is very tight getting into a site. There are very few "open" sites so request those early, or be lucky like us! The only downfalls were that at 10am a fire truck gives rides and sounds its siren all though out the campground. ATV's are welcome so be prepared for neighbors bombarding your space with their trailers and starting them up early in the morning. Also, the campground rules state no loud music anytime, yet they were putting on a very very loud karoke/dance from 6-10:30pm.
Upper Campground has more shade and is more "private". The electric sites in the upper campground are not private, but the tent sites seemed very secluded. For the most part it was a nice, clean park. Its always very popular!
If you are requesting an electric site, make sure when booking that electric means at least 30 amps. We were under the assumption that it was, and when we arrived we found out that our site was only 15 amps. After complaining we were moved and everything was fine after that. A lot of tents at this campground. It really didn't get quiet until midnight.
Very smooth transaction when checking in...the guy at the counter was funny! Very secure campground...access card needed to get into the sites and we saw security making a pass by our site several times. WiFi and cable worked great. All sites are asphalt which is nice and level. Overall a great experience...I can see why this is rated one of the top places for RVs in MN.
Nice place! We only stayed one night, but wish we had time to stay here more because it was enjoyable. The owners were very friendly and escorted us to our site. For as packed as it was, we were surprised how quiet it was...it was nice! We will absolutely stay here again.
