Rate reflects full hook-up standard site before KOA discount. We used this campsite over the weekend as a home base for exploring the surrounding area. It is easily located among the attractions in the White Mountains. GPS was off in directions, but got us close enough that we were able to follow the signs after that. Roads in campground are not paved, but fairly well maintained. They do kick up quite a bit of dust though. Park is nicely laid out with activity areas (playground, field, etc.) centrally located in the middle of the park or near the main office. The premium sites appeared to all be level, however the non-premium have a cluster that are not. We were in site #24 and I can tell you that #23 - #27 are on a downhill slope. Our site had huge tree roots coming up through the ground making that part of the site unusable and the opening for the sewer hookup was at an incline making it slightly challenging to dump before you left. Bathrooms were slightly dated, but clean. Overall park was clean. Despite numbers of dogs and children, the park was quiet. We would stay here again, but would stay clear of the cluster of sites mentioned in this review.

This is a small, "minimum frills" campground. Most of the sites are seasonals so there are a lot of friendships amongst the campers and everyone we encountered seemed to be really friendly. There is a flat grass area with a small stage where the campground musicians play for the crowds. The lake is beautiful and has a very shallow decline which makes it nice for kids. They can go out pretty far and still touch the bottom. There is one playground for the kids with a couple of climbing structures and swings but nothing too extensive. We went during the 4th of July weekend and it was amazing. They started Saturday with a patriotic tractor parade for the kids, ice cream social in the afternoon and finished out the night by putting on an amazing fireworks show over the lake. The surrounding residence to the lake join in with fireworks of their own and it makes the show just as good if not better than those you would go to a major beach to see. If you are looking for an all inclusive "resort"-like campground, this is NOT the place for you but if you are comfortable making new friends and having group dinners and just relaxing then this place is a good one to check out.

We have camped at this campground a couple of times starting last year. Each time, the campground is very clean and well cared for. It's a big park with plenty of things to do from swimming to Frisbee golf to playgrounds for the kids and a couple huge fields for baseball or flying kites. They regularly have events and special happenings each weekend during their camping season. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This park is very dog friendly with a fenced in dog park in the back where you can let your dog off leash and just let it run.
