Quiet, small, campground for an overnight stay. The management was very accommodating and escorted me to the nice, level, pull-through site. It is only about 18 miles off I-95 North (I was heading to Baltimore) and easy to find. If I am ever passing through again, I would definitively stay here.
The rate is for Extended Stay. Wow! Where do I start? Twin Oaks was an absolutely amazing experience and awesome place to stay. I was there for many months, and the Management, Staff, and the handful of permanent campers were NOT just neighbors, but family! On the first day of arrival, I was treated as if I was the ONLY ONE at the camp! "What can we do?" "Do you need anything to help make your stay with us better?" "Oh! By the way, we are having a pot-luck dinner tonight in the Club House. Please come over!" No other place has been like this! This has been my 16th camp throughout the Nation (contract work) and not one of them was as welcome, generous, or fun as Twin Oaks! I hope to get another contract in Middle Georgia soon so I can go back to my "family"! Will definitely be back! I shall miss you, all! Thank you!
This was an exceptional stay for me! I stayed here for 8 months while working in Jackson, TN. The rate above is based on the monthly "rent". Cannot say enough about the Camp-worker's while I was there! Awesome folks! The owners travel between Nashville and Parker's, however, the on-site managers were great! Always there to take care of any problems or escort RV's to their spots. A ton of work was been done to the place (improvements) while I was there. Shaded spots, concrete pads, gravel pads, etc... Will definitely stay here, again, should I ever work in the Jackson area!
I stayed here while working at a local hospital for 3 weeks during the middle of November - December. The camp is wonderful! You can't beat the staff, and everyone working appears to really enjoy their jobs! They have LP available for your camper (portable tanks, or you can pull up in your big rig). Sure, it was a little cold! I'm in the North! But, life on the road. This place used to be a KOA (years back) and it has a really cool putt-putt course, a small stage which I'm sure there are shows for the kids during the summer months. The shower house, and rest rooms are clean. Easy to get to off I-4 and the lots (for the most part) are of small gravel. Yes, I'll stay here, again, if I ever have the need to work in this part of the country! One of the very few in this area which is open year-round! Thanks for a great experience!
I recently stayed here for 2 weeks while working at a local hospital. The ONLY campsite in the area! The owners were incredibly helpful and very friendly to accommodate my needs. I'm in a 40' Class A, and please let me give you a warning! The camping area for 50 amp service is UP HILL! You have to make a very sharp (and wide) left-hand turn into the camp area, then up another hill on a sharp right-hand turn to get to your spot. Not for the "faint at heart" to climb. However, after you get up and settled in, the area is absolutely beautiful! I just so happened to hit it during the late Fall / Autumn. The near by Moravian Falls in practically in your back door, and it is very therapeutic to be around. I learned quickly that silence is loud! Well worth the stay, but don't think I'll be making the trip up the hill again. Probably stay in the lower part with the 30 amp services. (This is near the pool area) Hope you find it as wonderful and I did some day!
