This place forever has changed my opinion of RV parks. The setting in and around the park is beautiful. The restrooms and showers were very clean. Even the females in our group were impressed by the cleanliness of the place. The main clubhouse offered a small store and a game room. We did not use the pool or hot tub since it was still cold in April. We did laundry on-site so we took clean clothes home rather than dirty clothes. We used the Wi-Fi connection, but we did not bring a TV to enjoy the cable. Many of the residents live there year round and you can tell that there is a sense of pride among them to keep the place looking nice. I may run into an even better RV park someday, but these guys set the bar very high.
Overall this was a nice park with a friendly staff. The facilities were clean and park maintenance was done daily. They offered a very nice cooking gazebo with 3 stoves and sinks for people who did not bring camping stoves. They also offered cabins for those who did not wish to tent or RV and they offer electricity at some tent sites. The pool and play structure would make this park attractive for families with children. While the park is nice and well maintained a lot of the trees were on the younger side and the sites are a bit close together. Once the trees mature for more shade this park will be even better. The closeness of the sites are generally not a problem, but the camper right next to mine snored very very loud. The gentleman that checked me in gave me the best site for shade in the entire park, which I greatly appreciated. In the future the owner might consider stretching the Wi-Fi out so it can be accessed from the campsites (Internet was only available close to the lodge) and installing cable TV hook-ups. All in all this was a great place to stay. I will go back there at some point and I would recommend this place to my friends. They also offer AAA and Good Sam discounts.
While the lake is the main attraction the area where I stayed did not offer much as far as accommodations or shade. I walked around a bit and all that I found was one porta-potty. Over near the boat launch area they had more to offer, but that was not walking distance from my campsite. The good thing about my site is that it offered electricity so I was able to run my A/C.
This park is in a beautiful setting. It offers clean restrooms and showers. We stayed there 1 night on the the way to Vancouver Canada and 2 nights on the way back to California. There's not too much shade around the RV sites, but we went in April so it wasn't too hot.
