We stayed for a month at $525 cash. What a nice park. Owner helped us back in, get leveled, then put out a nice level wooden step. He even delivers ice and wood if needed. Clean and quiet, close to the river and only 10 miles from downtown Ruidoso. This is a perfect campground, whether for a weekend or long-term stay. Only improvement would be to add cable. Will definitely be back next year.
Rates reflects Mil/Vet rate. A lovely, quiet, and clean private park at the top of Raton Pass. Level gravel sites and beautiful vista across the valley and down to the Pass. Great WiFi, but don't download or play games. Spotless combined laundry, restroom, and shower facility. For an extra treat, they have homemade and reasonably priced dinners and scratch desserts. Would definitely stay here again!
A very nice State Park that has fully recovered from Sept 2013 flood damage. Beautiful pond-side FHU campsites, that in addition to level concrete pad, surrounding area is raked level and swept after each departure. Has u-pay showers and spotless restroom facilities. No wifi. A great park for birding; we had great view of Bald Eagle fledglings in their nest, plus saw Blue Herons, Canadian Geese, Red Wing Blackbirds and several species of flycatchers. In addition to nightly fee, unless you have annual park pass, you will be charged an $7 daily access fee. Would definitely stay here again!
Rate reflects the Passport America rate. A quiet, cozy and very clean little park nestled in the trees, run by a Christian family. Nice level pull-through sites, water/elecrtric sites, in shade; full hookup sites, no shade. Clean restrooms (hot due to no ventilation) and nice laundry. Only 1-2 full-timers. Wi-Fi operation is line of site to the office. Would definitely stay here again.
Rate reflects PA rate. Large covered check in. Lady checked us in with very few words. Gave sheets with wifi, cable and restroom codes. Helpful man escorted us to our spot, #36 and right next to spotless laundry, and spacious, well lit, and utterly pristine shower/toilet area. Gravel site was perfectly level. Park was clean and well groomed. Park looks to be mainly long term residents. Very little shade. Limited cable channels, but wifi worked great. Not a picturesque park, but certainly does the join for a one-nite layover. And with PA, you can't beat the rate. Would stay here again if traveling to/from Lubbock.
Rates reflects GS discount. Park converted from KOA to present owner in 2011. Friendly checkin. Very helpful park host escorted us to our spot #33; at end and large pull-thru site (we didn't unhook). Dog walk area was small grassed and fenced area with disposal bags on hand. Easy to level gravel site. WiFi did not work at our site. Limited shade sites. Good water and elec hookups. Elec is a bit low to ground if you're using long surge protector. Park is easy access from IH-10. Not much for an extended stay (river was very low), but great site for one niter. We would stay again.
Nice, out of the way KOA. Recently raked gravel sites, most very long with two concrete tracks to better level your rig. Back in sites have a great view of Las Cruces. Park is tiered and on several levels. Spotless showers and restrooms with security code access. The only park drawback: park uses an open cesspool for sewage collection from sites, which was quite foul smelling across the entire park (we stayed on a very windy day.) Manager stated chemicals had been added to the pit, but due to cooler temps, they hadn't yet started working. Due to the sewage disposal system, I doubt I would stay here again.
The Best State Park where I've stayed! Great staff and friendly park hosts. Excellent facilities, clean and spacious sites. On line reservations allowed by site. Spotless restrooms and showers. Only drawback was many vacant yet reserved sites--a flaw in AZ Parks reservation system makes moving to another vacant site impossible. They need to implement a 'no-show' policy to avoid lost revenue and accommodate more RVers. Park hosts have sewer; otherwise sites have water and elecT only. Great hiking trails, lagoon fishing and wildlife. In the town of Cottonwood. Checkout the Verde Valley Railroad while you're staying at this park. This park is a gem and we'd definitely stay again!
A very nice park. Lots of snow birders but good amount of RVers as well. Lots of activities and very friendly residents. Some residents reported outside pool was green but we didn't visit. Hook ups are at rear of sites so bring longer hose and/or cords. Great 'off-leash, dark park but observe no pet areas. Strict 10MPH speed limit in park--many walkers and bikes. We checked in early Sat am and gate security attendant took us to our site, helped us pull through, and asked next site resident to move their car so we had a wide berth entrance. We really appreciated the 24 hr gate security. About 1/2 mile from Hwy 60 so easy access. Accepts Good Sam only on daily rate but weekly rate beats that. More spacious than another parks down the road and would definitely stay here again.
Tight spaces, not level and extremely cramped. Wi-Fi is available but is extra cost. No cable, must use your own satellite or on air antenna (got about 10 local channels). Lots of activities for returning snow-birders. "Dog park" consists of key to gate to walk on leash outside property. No full time security but gate locked when office closed and on weekends. Friendly check-in staff and park host helped us get backed in. Hookups are at back of site so bring more than 25 ft hoses for water, electric, and sewer. Rate reflects membership discount. Due to cramped sites, I would not stay here again.
A gem of a park just west of El Paso. Easy to make reservations Website gives good description, pics and directions. Accepts Good Sam's ($28) and others. Outstanding showers and restroom. Double shower curtains for dressing area with cloth mat outside shower. Fully handicap accessible! On air TV gets 2-5 channels (English and Spanish). Booked this one to replace deplorable parks in Las Cruses; however, be sure to drive to Las Cruces for great green chili con queso at Nopolitos! This park goes on my "Fav" list and will definitely stay again.
A sweet little park. Reservations were simple and by phone (no email address on website). Website gave good directions and pics of what to expect. Check-in clerk drove me to the site before I drove there to park. All pull-ins; very long and wide if you don't want to unhook. Only downfall was no cable but with low and reasonable rate that's okay. No discounts accepted. Again a great park!
