We had to leave the $20 at a nearby restaurant. No office, no restrooms, no showers, just a lot with hook-ups. We had to drive behind the restaurant on a very muddy road. OK if you need some place for overnight.
The best first, the staff were great! Hardly any better. Very helpful and friendly. The only good thing about campground. Lots of weeds everywhere and run down sites. Dog waste everywhere and dogs ran loose. The restrooms were not very clean and I ran out of hot water as soon as I got wet. Could not figure out why as no one else was in the showers. The closest showers were closed so we had a walk to showers. I would rather stay in a Wal-Mart parking lot than here.
What a great campground! Small with lots of shade. Everything works great, cable, water, electric, and Wi-Fi. The staff are great! Willing to help with all your questions. There is a pool but it was closed for the season. Free showers with lots of hot water. Very clean. The laundry had new machines and there was a place to fold clothes. We particularly liked the gravel, level, RV spots. Lots of distance between RV sites. The only bad things I can say are there was no dump site and the store was almost non-existent.
This is just a plain great campground. The owner and his wife are just great!! Very friendly and helpful. The showers were spotless as was the laundry room. The store was fully stocked with lots of food and interesting items, including fishing poles. There is fishing just behind the campground. The only bad part that I can mention is that all the RV sites tended to be muddy. I was tracking in mud all the time; they need to put down some gravel.
A little pricy considering that all the pools, movie house and playhouse were shut down. Would be a very nice place to take a family during the summer. Lots to do. Very large campground! You probably need to make your reservations early.
The good first. Very helpful staff as I went into the office 3 times trying to find a level site, and they did not tire of seeing me. Very nice distance between camping sites, showers were only 25 cents for 10 minutes. Bad part: I could not find a faintly level spot after trying 4 spots. I have 4 blocks under the tires and am not level yet. Some of the large RVs have both or one of their wheels 6-to 8 inches off the ground. Wow!! I went to fill my tanks up with water since I didn't want to hook-up and stopped because the water looked muddy? At least it looked like it, not sure however. The men showers were very clean but I had no curtain/door while I was changing, although the shower itself had a curtain. It would have been nice as my shower stall was open to all the sinks: what's with this? Lots of mosquitoes, very thick with them. Won't be back: ever.
