Very nice campground. They are putting in cable, and a few sites have it available. Clean and neat, very friendly staff. Owners try to make your stay smooth and easy. Allowed us to check in early, due to weather issues. Just a note, we were charged an extra $10.00 for making online reservations, and the showers are $3.75 to start. We will definitely return.
Park is OK. I relied on the previous posts when I made my reservations in January. I was told they honor Good Sam. The lady who checked me in was friendly, but refused to honor my Good Sam. Said the campground fills in part of March and all of April and May, due to ATV rallies, so she doesn't need to discount anything. She argued about my reservation, and told me I would have to park at the very end of the spot, with my back end nearly in the road to get Wi-Fi. Of course, that made an issue for my hookups. WiFi was iffy. Full of off road vehicles, which were being repaired and prepped all over the park. Gasoline smell was strong. Sites were uneven. This park really needs some TLC. It is older and needs some maintenance and repairs as well as some upgrades. It is not real big rig friendly, as the sites are close. Often cars are parked in others vacant areas until they are asked to move, or they are parked in the road, making it difficult to use the park roads. If you are an off-roader, this park is fine. Otherwise, stay clear.
Nice campground. Level sites, clean and well maintained. The staff, however, is not the friendliest staff. When I pointed out that my reservation was wrong (I had set it for a pull-through), the clerk berated me for not being able to use a back-in site. Showers are charged at $2 for 15 minutes, though other campers that used them claimed the time was much shorter..closer to 12 minutes. For $49 I would expect to be able to shower. Also, forget the Wi-Fi...inconsistent, dropped constantly, and poor strength. I had to go into McDonald's to use their Wi-Fi, as I needed a good connection for work.
I have to say that, for what this park is meant to be, it is fine. It, however, is not meant to be much more than a glorified parking lot for parking in when you are visiting the Grand Canyon. Sites are level and paved. Laundry, restrooms and showers were clean and neat. However, sites are close. Your picnic table is next to your neighbor's sewer connection, and using your awning is difficult. Very few campers stay more than a day or two, so there is a lot of traffic. There is no dog walk area. The worse part was the Wi-Fi. It was weak, sporadic, and often dropped us while we were trying to work.
We really love this park. Beautiful location, great staff. On the river, wide spaces, some with grass. Tables, fire ring, free firewood. Neat custom of having guests paint rocks (paint in the office) and leave them in the rock garden. Only complaint was the Wi-Fi. Weak, and often down. It was a problem throughout the park, no matter what device you were using or location in the park. We will definitely return.
Beautiful park!! The staff is friendly and accommodating. We were escorted to our site and helped to park. Sites are level, easy in and out. All on the same level, so I don't understand poster from last August. Water, electric, wi-fi all good. Showers and restrooms are great, probably the cleanest I have seen in an RV park. The poster who said the shower was in the center must have been at another park, as these were on the wall like a normal shower. Love this park.
This is one of our favorite campgrounds. It is under new ownership, and they are working hard to repaint and freshen up the park. Each site has a concrete pad, picnic table and fire pit. Sites are level, Wi-Fi steady, electric and water are good. Set in the San Juan National Forest, it is quiet and relaxing. There are hiking trails from the park. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going back to this campground.
Clean, friendly, well maintained place. Staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Wireless internet is splotchy, but is always available in the game room. Some of the sites are very near the road, and could be noisy, but we were placed in the back, and it was pretty and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
Love this place. Clean, nicely laid out, well maintained. Staff is great; helpful, friendly and well informed. Pet area is great. The main area of town is within walking distance, but the area is still quiet and relaxing. Sites level, well landscaped, with asphalt pads under the NICE picnic tables.
Wow, this park is really run down. Weeds, junk and trash throughout. The pictures of how this place used to look made me sad because it is now run down and ratty. I enjoyed the hot springs pool, but other than I can't say much good about the place. Showers and restrooms were so bad we did not use them. I would not stay here again.
Nice place. Most seasonal units were separate, but we could still here the workers leave in the nearly morning. Other than that, it was great. One of the best pet run areas we have ever seen, large, fenced, grassed in area. Office help great and friendly. We would stay here again.
Nice, older RV park. Sites were very wide, back in only. Utilities worked well, although the Wi-Fi was a little weak in the evenings. Although they required you to sign an agreement to clean up after your pet and keep them on a leash, no more than 6 foot long, most pets were on retractable leads and were allowed to go out more than 6 feet, causing me a little irritation, as they seemed to routinely run into our campsite, where my dog was laying quietly. Also, a number of dogs were tied out and left alone. There was also a problem with bears knocking over the big trash dumpsters and having the trash was strewn all over. It was a nightly occurrence, and, although the trash was picked up every morning, there was still some "wet" trash that was never able to be re-collected. Owners said they were begging the trash company for bear proof containers, but to no avail. It would not have been difficult to alter the trash bins to be at least resistant.
Really enjoyed our stay at this campground. It is a more rustic campground, not an RV Park. Surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. Staff was friendly and helpful. Concrete strips to park on were nice. We will return, as we love this area of the state.
This KOA has been here for many years. It is not an RV resort but a fun place. The sites are packed dirt and gravel. One shower/restroom building is under renovation, the other has been renovated. The managers are great. We stayed here after being evacuated during a wildfire. A huge number of those in the park were also displaced. Managers got us in, stayed late to escort us to a site, then found a full hookup site for us the next day, and moved our trailer, as I was at work. They had a continental breakfast there at no charge during the week to help the evacuees out, pizza in the evenings, lots of other helpful activities. Received a HUGE discount from their corporate office to help us out. All employees were kind, compassionate and helpful. There was a little highway noise in the sites on the first row, but no problems where we were. Great place to stay to visit the area.
This is truly a hidden gem. The area is very quiet and peaceful, and the scenery can't be beat. The park is immaculate and all the facilities are clean and well cared for. The new owners (this is their second season) truly care about their guests. We loved this place and have already made plans to stay there again.
I had a hard time understanding how the reviews of this campground varied so drastically. Now I know. We were here for one week. Some of the staff was great. Others were rude and unfriendly. One day the bathrooms and showers were clean the next day they were filthy with only a swipe with a mop. Our fire ring was dirty when we got there and was never cleaned. Wi-Fi was sketchy as we periodically lost our connections. This campground is the best in the area. I truly think that there is a little room for improvement here.
This campground has great potential, but there is a definite need for some TLC. The restrooms were old and not very clean, and the sites looked like they had not been tended in a very long time. The pavilion is falling apart, as is the picnic area. Sad to see this happen here!
We camped here for 5 days. Upon arrival, our reserved campsite proved to be unacceptable. Despite assurances when I made reservations, we could not get our 40 foot motorhome into the pull through. Since the park was not crowded, we found a back in site that was acceptable. The rest rooms and showers were very old and in desperate need of basic care and cleaning. We really enjoyed our stay here otherwise.
We stayed here for 9 days, as we toured the Branson area. The owners were great, and, when we had problems with our motorhome, offered tools, assistance, and helped us find a qualified repairman. The dock was great to fish from. Everything was neat and clean. We area was under great pressure, as there was a huge amount of rain there all month. Most of the sites were higher and fine, although a few were a little wetter than others. The owners did all they could to make sure that campers were moved if needed.
Campground is clean and neat, with a large number of units there on extended stay (construction workers). The owners have decided to leave the campground open longer this year because of all of these campers. Many of the campground amenities, such as the ice cream parlor, were closed down and unavailable. The owners believe that the campground has been sold, and the new owners will be on board next spring.
The campground was clean and neat, and the facilities worked well. The staff was friendly and accommodating. She even had treats ready for my dog! The park is for sale, and, the owner believes, has been purchased. In all likely hood, it will be under new ownership next spring.
