Rate reflect Passport America discount. Very nice park located right on the Rio Frio river. Very friendly and helpful office staff. Some of the sites in the park are not very level, but ours was perfect. Laundry is clean and in good order.
We stopped here for the night because we wanted to visit the King Ranch. This park is next door to the waste-water treatment plant. There was no odor the day we were there. There are mostly long-term residents here in old run down mobile homes and a few trailers for workers in the area. As the residents got home from work, the dogs were all let loose. There were dogs wandering all around the park as well as cats. There were dogs copulating in front of our RV. The office staff were pleasant, but we left ASAP in the morning.
This is a fairly new park. Office staff was very helpful and, if you pull in after office hours, there is a sign directing you to open sites and to just register in the morning. Sites are sufficiently long. There is a fenced dog area that was clean and safe. The laundry was immaculate. Quiet country atmosphere. We would stay here again if in the area. Price reflects Good Sam discount.
This is a clean park and convenient to the I-20. However, unless you enjoy traffic noise or can remove your hearing aids at night, it is very noisy. Pull through sites are short. We have a 30 foot RV and could barely fit our dingy on it also. Website advertises free coffee in office. When we checked in, there was a layer of mold floating on the half-full pot of coffee. Pool was closed. Owners were happy we were there, and were very nice.
