Really enjoyed our stay here. Largest individual sites of any park I have been in. Level. Fire pit. I really enjoyed all the green belt surrounding the sites. Lots of room to walk with my dogs. Of course, there are always those inconsiderate people who did not pick up after theirs, but overall the park was immaculate. I agree with other posters that the cable TV leaves MUCH to be desired. But I would stay here again. Paid $18 the first two nights with club membership. Enjoyed it so much, I paid the regular rate to stay another day.

I cannot understand why this park is not full. It is delightful. Clean, quiet, with an abundance of trees, flowers, birds, and blackberries. Layout of sites is a bit odd, but would only perhaps be a problem if park were full. Lots of walking trails, a fishing pond and creek, and a laundry. Only about 12 miles from Lassen NP. One caution: the entrance comes up VERY quickly a little less than two miles from Shingletown, so take it slow.

Great park. The hot springs pool is inexpensive and open daily. Well-spaced sites allow lots of privacy. Nice hikes in the area.

Enjoyed our stay here. The maintenance staff was wonderful, helping to cut down a branch that was interfering with my slide out. Only rated a 7, however, because there were no showers and the sites are very close together.

There are no level sites. The sites are filthy and not maintained. Most sites and the roads have deep gullies in them. I later discovered this is from the untreated grey water that is allowed to be dumped freely (through other campsites) from those above. From 9am until well past dark, the roads in the park turn into a OHV motocross course for unattended minors. The noise is unbearable. Dump costs $25.00. I considered the camp unhealthy but was refused a refund.

Although the trees are not big enough to provide shade, I would definitely stay here again. The pull-through sites are very level, wide, and long. The bathrooms are private units with showers and are kept very clean. The laundry was clean and relatively inexpensive. I would like to see the dog run area larger and note on the map that there are plans to do so.

Enjoyed our stay here. The spaces along the creek are very nice. However, the prohibition of taking dogs on the trails made the stay less than I wanted. The price is also high for a site with no utilities. The park is beautiful and the sites far enough from each other that there is a feeling of privacy. There is an abundance (all around the camps) of ticks and poison oak.

This was a delightful park. The couple in the front office were so personable and friendly. The Wi-Fi and cable were some of the best we have encountered. The bathrooms are set up so that there are individual private rooms with both shower and toilet. The laundry room is exceptionally clean with an iron and ironing board to use. They have books and DVDs and tapes to borrow. All in all, I plan on returning for an extended stay.

We enjoyed our stay here, especially with the elk coming right down to the camping sites. The attendant in the visitor's center was particularly helpful. The cost was high, however, for a state park with no utilities. And the prohibition from dogs on any of the paths made the stay difficult for us with our pets. Although the only sites indicated for RVs were in the open near the meadow, we found many sites down in the trees that would be fine even with my friend's 32' Class C.

The only thing that saved this park was its proximity to the beach. The sites are uneven and very rustic. The Wi-Fi sporadic and slow. Worst of all, there is only one bathroom, which was located a long ways away from our site (approximately three city blocks). AND the showers were pay-per-use. Unacceptable for a park that charges $40.00/night. Many full timers simply let their dogs loose to do their daily "duty" on the beach or at other sites. We will not stay there again.
