Don't let strange entry thru part of motel lot fool you, this is a very nice small park for over night or even several days. Roads are good with nicely graveled sites and all are pull-thru. Vicious storm passed that night, and the park attendant knocked on our coach to make sure we had the local channel on to stay updated. She wanted to make sure we knew where the safe areas were in case of severe weather. Very considerate. We would definitely stay here again.
Hard turn onto graveled access road. Fair gravel roads to nice gravel pull through site. Lovely site with greenery and flowering landscaping. The metal table and 4 chairs were raised up on a small wooden patio and were extremely comfortable. Nice touch from the usual picnic table. The facilities were extremely well kept and very clean. The property is surrounded by the corn fields which are inhabited with the cicadas. Their sound was unending, but not disturbing. The roads are easy to navigate in and out. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.
The most impressive thing is the proximity to the Mississippi River. The sites were perhaps 50 feet or less. The shore was lined with benches and we were delighted to see tugboats in the am and pm pulling their massive barges. Gravel roads were relatively level, and there was a concrete pad to pull the coach on. I was not able to connect to their network, even though supplied with a password. The view makes it worth the trip. We paid $33.00 for our pull through site.
The Oasis RV Resort in Amarillo,Texas is only about 3 years old and is beautifully constructed with double concrete pads. The price is unbelievably low so don't let it be a deterrent to book here. Everything is included in this low price. There is a fee for the breakfasts and dinners they serve in the rally room, but it is nominal. It is not a five-star meal but better than fast food. Easy on/off and near places of interest.
Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort was awesome and it gets a 10 from us. We were in a 33' coach, towing a vehicle: plenty of room. This place is truly a resort. With the Silverton Casino right next door and the Vegas 'strip' just several miles up the road, this campground is perfectly situated. Fitness buffs can enjoy the great work out room, and there is a lovely restaurant/bar overlooking the two pools and waterfall. Put this one on your list.
