The electrical has still not been upgraded. I saw a fan at one of the electrical boxes keeping it cool so it wouldn't trip. We still like the campground but is in desperate need of maintenance and updating. Most of the sites do not have cable any more. We were told the manager got tired of people stealing the cable wire so started yanking the cable out. Very busy campground with a lot of boats and pick up's parked everywhere. You certainly have a lot to look at. I don't consider the campground a resort. It was a neat campground a few years ago but sadly to say it is getting run down. (800) 301-7880
This is our very favorite place to camp. We always stay here every year. We don't feel that their rules are out of line. As far as scooters go, as long as it has a tag no problems. As far as Cingular, I had no problems getting out from the inside or outside of our motorhome. Some of the sites can be close but we're usually running around the area doing and seeing things. The only thing I would do different as a camp host is greet each camper and let them know where I was located and would help in any way I could. We never saw the camp hosts, but not important. We have already made our reservations for next year.
Staff was friendly, helpful and informative. We had a super site #16. We had wi-fi right at our motorhome. Very clean and well taken care of. We noticed that at 6 am the owners were up and cleaning the office, laundry and bathrooms. We will definitely be back at this campground again. We met several people that have been coming here for years. That says a lot as to what kind of campground this is.
The sites were gravel and uneven. The swimming pool was pea green. I realize the pool wasn't being used at that time of year but neither is mine at home but we keep it clean, if nothing else for health reasons. They did have a very nice dog walk area and I found the staff very nice. We stayed there over night and probably would not stay there again.
