We dry camped in the upper loop. Price reflects premium site. Hook ups Are on the bottom loop, but we prefer the tree of upper loop. Bottom Loop is great, on the beach some sites, but to us a little exposed to weather. The old fort has lots of history, good hiking, and mountain biking trails. We happened to camping gear during might us tides, some clarification get, and crabbing was excellent. We would stay again.
We stayed for 5 days on a river site. Awesome wildlife to watch on opposite side. Great staff, helpful as always. We hike, and biked to town, or up the road to trail heads. Bathrooms, and grounds well kept. Normally a 10, but new cable/Wi-Fi. Never got online during stay, and they know something needs to be done. Booked trip for next year.
A last minute decision on Saturday morning. Load, and quick call to the office asking for a beach site. Which they did. What a view. Great staff, good WiFi. We stayed a day, should have been 10 day. Will visit again.
First weekend of the season. Perfect weather. Site A-10 was very private. Great hiking and view points to die for of San Juan Islands. A short bike trip to Anacortes and close to ferry terminal. Would stay again.
