Well this campground is easy to get to off I-40 the roads to the sites were steep but had no problem pulling a 32 footer to the very top sites they have great cable and Wi-Fi full hook ups located in good spots Staff was great they help you to your site help you back in chit chat for while and leave you to do what you want.
A very nice park. If you like a woodsy feel then this park is for you. If you like a pool, slides, golf, etc.: then you won't like it here. I would rate this place a 10 if it had cable TV and more full hookup sites.
As I sit by the pool writing this review. I have to say I have enjoyed my stay here. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They have three sections a, b and c . The A-section is semi shaded with level sites and good room between has paved road all around. The B-section is shaded sites are level and has a gravel road to sites good room between them. The C-section has no shade sites are near the pool. It is an easy place to get to right of I-85 exit 83. All sites have fire ring table full hook ups and cable about 70 channels. The Wifi was strong at the pool and in c-section some a and b section sites close to the pool. The campground has some road noise from I-85 but not bad. Salisbury and Lexington are not far away lots to see in both towns. Also High Rock Lake is near. We will come again. Keep in mind this is a new campground and the owners are working hard to make it better every day. They have really made my trip here very good.
This campground is well ran. The grounds are spotless. The lake and swim beach was clean and very nice. They have a county law man patrol the grounds from 8 pm till 1 am. The lake side sites are great and for the site on the hill with no view of the lake are very nice. Three things that come to mind that i didn't like was the dump station could have a turn around for the campers on the hill in a section. Next was anything 30 foot or bigger would have a nice time getting parked in a site narrow roads at the sites. Last is the road into the campground is curvy and hilly only five miles but seams like fifty. Those three things want stop us from going back again and again. Give it a try I think you will like it.
This park was very nice and taken care of. If you are in the area this would be a very good stay; was for us. The cover dish is a must do; the food was great. The sites are all graveled with grass between sites. Ron and Becky will go out of there way to please you.
the cg is the nicest one on hwy 321 and the cheapest. The grounds are clean and sites were clean. Trash pickup every day. Have table and fire ring with no grill top. Good roads from I40 to cg. Very nice staff that worked every day we were there raking leaves and cleaning. Bathhouse is great. The only problems i had was my site and a few more were down hill bad, the tounge of trailer was on the ground. Still wasn't enough and sites were closer than we like them too be, but as we seen most were close in the area. We would stay there again.
The sites are very big in size has a dump station. Carry a tote with you for campground. Has no sewer. Great place for kids to play and be safe doing so, can watch them from any camp site. You may be in most of the time. Sites have a fire ring with grill top & table. Plenty of hiking. Water falls wildlife too see the campground is full of deer every mooring. We got up deer was in our site. I live with in 10 to 15 mins from campground we go several times a year and have never been disappointed. Its just a great place to go very layed back and quite. If you plan too come on weekends come in the am sites go fast .
the cg is the nicest of the three on the lake to me very big sites parked a 30ft camper and 3500 crew cab dolly and another truck with boat in site now thats big has a table fire ring with grill top two lantern post and a separate grill for cooking about 90% shaded next site is about 20 to 30 feet away very privet sites level on gravel pad bring dry dock tote no sewer has a dump station has a gate with a card pass to get in and out boat ramp swimming beach playground theater and panic shelter only reason not giving a 10 is that the cg is under going a facelift now and no lake side camping other than that it a great place for us to go the kids love it ride bikes all day there we camp here several times a year we are local call ahead because its small and goes fast even on weekdays for weekends you need to plan ahead for staying here camped here in a travel trailer
campground over crowed for me, and very tight to get into. Much rather stay at Fort Hamby on us421 side of lake. Much nicer sites but it's a lot smaller. Fills up fast.
Nice campground. 2nd in my choice of the three that are on the lake. Fort Hamby would be #1 but fills up fast. It's small but this is a nice place for kids too play and to relax.
Ok park. Sites were too close for us. My awing almost hit the next camper. If you like too be that close then this campground would be for you. I would not stay here again for that reason only. Everything else was fine.
Nice campground with a small lake too fish. Would be better if 90% of the campground wasn't bought up by perment campers. During our stay in mid summer only noticed a third were being used. It was a nice stay.
Very nice and large sites. Bring along your dry dock tote. No sewer hook ups. Have a dumpstation. Overall a very nice place. Fishing was great even from the dock. Level sites and about 85% shaded all day.
