A nice park with friendly visitors that return year after year from all over the continent. It has gravel sites, paved roads concrete pads. We enjoyed the month of Feb. 2011 there and the area has lots and lots to do from museums to national park type venues. The activities are limited to Mexican train dominoes one night and bingo one night each week. There is coffee every morning at 8 and this is a good place to get to know your new friends in the park. We would go back if the area calls us in.
We have been here the month of March and will be here for 2 more weeks. We have really enjoyed the park, the residents and the owner. Many resident lead activities ranging from crafts to geocaching trips, and shooting sports at a nearby gun range. A full calender of activities could keep visitors busy without leaving the park. Many miles of hiking trails that are well marked in the Sanoran Desert accessed by simply walking off the park road into a wash and out into the desert. One of the highlights of the park for us in the music both by bands.groups or resident lead hymn singing. Then on Monday morning at the coffee and donut time we are asked if a good time was had by all and would we like to see them back or not. The owned is a person with enough positive personality to make one wish to return just for the Monday coffee and donut time. Starts at 9 but if you are not there 30 min. early you might stand up. We will be back. While we have only been here one month we have seen changes coming with more work to happen this summer when most folks are not brave enough to be in this area of the country.
