if you wish to be near the water then select region 4, sites 139 and 157 to 159 are the prime locations. Good power and water. Yes, the roads are narrow and you need to drive very slowly but it is worth the effort. Lots of shade but also a lot of ticks. Sad that we were here a few days before Memorial Day and none of the stores or any of the sights were open yet. Felt very safe here. The host families and rangers toured on the hour. It was a very quiet park and within walking distance to the marina and beach area. Great view of the lake. This park is for everyone no matter what type of camping style from tents to RV's. Lots of trails and easy biking routes.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We were assigned site B09 which is the lsst site right on the water facing the marina. The guest host was most pleasant and always greeted us during our two (2) day stay. The site was a 45 ft cement pad with a nice cement covered picnic area. The restrooms and showers were most convenient. The sites are close but laid out nicely. The site had both a grill, a table, a cooking table and a fire pit. Make your reservations early. Nice location too if you have a boat. There is a great restaurant right across from the park that serves the best catfish and hush puppies.

This RV park is very basic but provided everything that an overnight stay requires. Manager was very friendly upon our arrival and was informative about the area. Was not very busy so we had a choice of sites. The showers were good and hot. Did not know until we left, that we were within walking distance to some restaurants, since the park is at the edge of town.

Easy access to park for it is right off of Highway 54. The site was very level with good hook-ups. No problems here. Provided a very informative brochure at check-in. Would like to return during the summer when the pool is open. Showers were good. They have the largest area we have ever seen to walk our dogs away from other sites. Surprised by the freight trains at 4:30 AM and again at 5:30 AM. However, it added to the travel experience. Arrived later than planned and the owners were most helpful in guiding us to our site. The play area for children was very nice. Since we were only passing through, we were not able to enjoy the park as we would have liked.
