Very good park located in sleeply little Florida fishing town. Not much to do but the atmosphere is laid back. Sites are a little small, clean, and neat. Water pressure was very low, also. Fisherman's Wife restaurant was very good. Try it out.
This campground shares it's entrance and interior roads with a water park. Campground rules are influenced by this also. Like no bike riding. We stayed here in October when the water park was closed. The campground was quiet, relaxing and has a great view of the lake. The sites are a comfortable size with standard hook ups. Firerings and tables are also provided. Site 11 had a rusty water problem and many trees needing dead limbs removed. Interior roads are rough and need repair. The "speed bumps" (I assume required for the waterpark customers) are annoying, to say the least.
This campground was hit hard by a tornado several years ago. Many of the trees were lost, therefore most of this large campground is "rebuilding". Many trees have been planted, new fire rings and bathhouses. The interior roads are only fair and the sites are gravel and uneven. Most or the electrical looks new and the Wi-Fi very good. I would rate it higher if the sites were in better shape. The golf course is great and if you like to fish . . . this is the place.
Very nice park with good interior roads. The sites are level and well maintained. It is quiet, neatly kept with a friendly staff. WiFi coverage is spotty. Park location is handy to the attractions in Pigeon Forge. We will stay here again.
Beautiful well kept campground. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. The clubhouse, pier and beach, while not on the gulf, are first class. The owners pride in this facility is obvious. Cable and WiFi are very good. They even allow washing you rig on your site. We will stay here again.
Great park. Large sites with nice fire rings and grills. Bath house looks new and was clean. Interior roads are narrow and tight in some places. Most of the park is very muddy after rains and is messy. Rating would be a "9' if sites had sewer hookups.
This campground is wide open, no trees and with no personality. It does have a large lake and about 4 miles of walking / biking trails around the lake. That is really nice. The interior roads are nicely paved and sites are level. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The showers, only two of them for the entire campground, were not heated and use a water rationing shower control. Push the button and get water for about 60 seconds, similar to the type used on public bathroom lavatories. I’m not a fan or that arrangement. It is about 20 miles from St. Louis so plan on a half hour commute, each way, if using this as base to see St. Louis.
This park consists mostly of large spacious pull-through sites, many located on the Mississippi River. It is a beautiful view, especially early morning and late afternoon. There are several benches and fire pits located at rivers edge that make for comfortable viewing of the river traffic. The facilities are another matter. The showers and laundry are dated, but were clean. There is no cable and the Wi-Fi was weak and unreliable most of the time. It is a great base for Memphis sightseeing. The staff is very helpful, courteous and eager to please. It is not a shaded park, but most sites have a tree or two that provide some shade. We would stay here again.
This is a small city owned campground. It is very quiet and secluded. The sites are level, paved and each has a covered table, grill and fire pit. No cable or Wi-Fi and only one or two sites have a clear view for satellite reception. It is only a few minutes back into civilization for shopping or entertainment in Jefferson City. We would stay here again.
The staff was courteous and helpful. It was easy to park with level sites. The facilities are dated, but clean and well kept. The campground is wide open and has little "personality. A great place to take a break from a day on the road.
It is only a couple of miles from Silver Dollar City and a quick trip to the strip in Branson. This campground is secluded and quiet. The sites are gravel. They are shady, level and roomy. The interior roads are hilly, very ruddy and in poor condition. Wi-Fi is nonexistent except at the camp office and the cable service was not very reliable. Showers are dated, but clean and orderly. We stayed here seven days and would stay here again.
