This campground is the WORST in the USA!! There are too many negatives to point out: dirty rest rooms, problems with Internet service, VERY kid UNfriendly, VERY RUDE employees, horrible customer service...You get the idea. DO NOT stay here and I would stay AS FAR AWAY as possible... There are BETTER campgrounds in the area!!
This campground isn't even ok for overnight stay. It's not a very safe campground. We observed a drug deal & fight between some of the long term residents in site # 14, 15, 16, or 17. We couldn't get a good cell signal to call the local SO. If the would provide security or get rid of the trashy people then we could recommend this campground.
We have stayed at Navarre Beach campground in the past and wanted to give these folks a try. The staff at both campgrounds need training in how to treat customers. This campground seemed not as cramped as Navarre and a bit cleaner. Next year may find a better spot / campground along the Emerald Coast of Florida.
This was our 4th visit to Fort Wilderness. We have always received the camping loop that we request. There is so much to do in the campground that you could easily stay a week and not visit the theme parks. They are very kid friendly and other campgrounds should take lessons from Disney. The campground is well maintained and clean. If we have a complaint about Fort Wilderness it would be that some spots are hard to back into, and the price. We are planning to go back, so I guess those really are not complaints.
