I am a member so read with bias if you want but I have to respond to last reviewer. First, I thought you had to have 3 reviews before you could publish? The roads are paved and the sites gravel. There are palm trees and oleander bushes as landscaping and at one end there are shade trees. If you are here on the weekend in the summer then yes it is on the river and a very young crowd. But it is a big park and you can be at the other end. The two pools are large and heated all year with a snack bar and bar poolside. In the winter there are 400+ snowbird rigs here and a very hospitable crowd. There are 50amp pull throughs. Wi-Fi is free near the club house and the pool area. You can also rent cable modems. Finally you have a half mile of river beach on one side and untold square miles of off-roading on the other. We are over 70 and have a pair of jet skis and a pair of quads. For some this is paradise. For others I guess not. By the way it is the end of Oct and at 9PM it is 70 outside. You can read my other reviews to get a feel of my thoughts.
A nice park. Long dirt pull through. Free Wi-Fi for one computer. I can't agree a 10 as some say even though it is very nice. Gravel/dirt, no pool, no fitness center, one computer Wi-Fi, a fair walk to restrooms from sites, that's not a 10 in my book. Still $25 for 50Amp and this nice is very welcome.
Definitely good for a night. Nice long pull throughs. At this rate for 50Amp and free Wi-Fi how can you go wrong. A walk to Casino and truck stop. Landscape could be tidy up. Don't think there is access to restrooms when office is closed. Power pedestal and water are locked so need to arrange if going to be late arrival.
A very nice older park. Mostly pull through sites with small dividing fence and concrete patios. Nice, small, heated pool and fitness center. Good, free Wi-Fi. Large connected gift shop. Central area with fenced grass, a duck pond, and walkways with seating. Lots of long termers but all sites clean and tidy. Rate is weekly.
Definitely an overnight stop only. No Wi-Fi. AT&T and T-mobile were poor. Dirt pull through sites. Texola is not a town. It is just a spot on the road. OK for a night at the price. There was a restaurant but we did not try it.
A very nice campground. Friendly staff. Show tickets delivered promptly and good seats and price. Nice pool. Mostly back in sites but four new concrete pull through pads with patios that are very nice. Not where some maps say they are so be sure to check. Rate is PPA. Quite a few long term residents but sites tidy and separate from short stays.
The season is ended and so it is very quiet. As the previous reviewers said it is very nice. Long concrete pads, nice patios, free fast WiFi. Water Park and Ride Park next door. Great landscaping. Large pool in season. A definite stop if you have kids; ride park still open on weekends.
A nice KOA. Good sites, but some are nose to tail so face each other. Plenty of pull-throughs, free Wi-Fi, choice of with or without sewer. Only a couple of miles to good shopping. A large nice campground.
I don't give out many 9s but this place has a good range of sites and is well kept. Our rate is without sewer, but their deluxe sites are that deluxe. Red cement patios with tables, swing and fire pit. Mostly pull throughs. Wi-Fi was OK and free. Nice pool but closed for season. Near the river but a fair walk this time of year. This was the first KOA and they want to keep it their flagship.
A nice park. Long level pull throughs. Good landscaping. Near freeway but noise not bad. Small town but has a Safeway and usual gas and fast foods. Definitely good for a one nite stopover. Wi-Fi was OK and free.
I don't normally like subjective reviews, especially when it is extreme good or bad because of one item, but on this I am. For facilities it would get a 5 or 6 as they are adequate but that is all. So why an 8? Well location, location, and location. A small meadow area along the banks of the river running wide and open for a great scenic view. A fantastic old railroad bike path that is paved for 38 miles in both directions. The hosts were friendly. Didn't see any Moose in the park but did nearby. For one or two nights who needs a sewer connection, when you have this kind of spot!
Made an internet reservation in advance for one of their few 65' back-ins with 50Amp as we are a 45' 5er. They gave it away!! Said sorry but no help. Put us in a 50' narrow pull thru with 30Amp and a tree blocking our roof Sat. Had to park truck out front in public area. Internal roads are very narrow.
A great park. All sites are pull throughs and at least 40 feet wide and 50-70 feet long. Sites are all meadow grass. Good sized heated pool but spa is gone. Free fast Wi-Fi. Rate reflects RPI and 50 Amp. We were in middle of park and no road noise, did hear one train during the night.
Small KOA. Mostly pull throughs. Longer sites with 50Amp that were OK for our 45'5er didn't have sewer. Pool was small didn't look clean and was cold. Lots of midges and was given a handout warning about them. Free Wi-Fi.
An adequate park. Showing its age in most areas, bathrooms were adequate but that is all. Sites could certainly use some landscaping attention. Lots of long termers but kept tidy and no problem. Great pools. $ WiFi. Close to Magic Mountain. Lots of pull through sites. Lots of large shade trees.
I can't disagree with what others have said about the well landscape and maintenance. I was very disappointed with the site layouts. Yes, there are a few pull through sites but not many and most of the sites are either back ins or pull ins for motor homes. The end result is you are end to end and then facing your neighbors. Four of you share a small strip of grass. Now that is fine if you are a social sort and you get good neighbors, but there is no privacy at all. I thought the roads were narrow for maneuvering with a big rig. Price reflects a discount because a problem with my reservation. Not in my view a 5 Star layout and expensive.
Oh what it could be. They have done some mowing since the last review but not a lot. 200 acres and very large sites with lots of open space. Beautiful old trees. Bobcats and deer are common visitors. Two nice pools, the adult pool and lodge are quite a ways from the sites. Free WiFi in the lodge but very expensive otherwise. I am told 20 years ago you couldn't hardly get a site, now in Aug it is nearly empty. Sites need more than just weeding, but if current grounds keeper is able to get the support it could be a completely different place next year.
For a County Park it is a very nice CG. Mostly pull through sites. No pool and no WiFi. Lots of old large trees for shade but can be a problem for roof satellites. A great collection of agricultural equipment. Near town and Hwy 101 but no noise. Definitely worth a stopover.
A nice CG. Many sites were not level due to being on the slope of the hill. Sites were good sized, we have a 45' 5er and there are plenty of pull throughs. Right on the dunes but a couple of miles to the ocean and Pismo. Not a lot here except the Dunes. Some permanents but they were tidy.
Yes very expensive. Mostly pull through sites. Clean park with no noticeable permanents or undesirables. A short walk/ bike ride to the beach. Good WiFi. Small pool. OK place if you want full hooks ups and able to get to the beach, otherwise go no hook ups and be right on the beach. Probably won't stay again due to cost for what you get.
As they all say a very nice park. 3 pools: a very large one and two good sized ones for laps and water volleyball, plus 3 hot tubs. There is a 6 lane international shuffleboard pavilion. The regular back in sites have privacy shrubs. The pull throughs are made from 4 old smaller back ins, so they are now 35 feet wide and 90 feet long. Target is just across the street and Von's and several fast foods also a short walk. Very busy in the winter but very quiet in the summer. We were able to extend our 3 day Passport America rate for additional days. They will consider couples under 55. Definitely worth a return visit.
This is a nice park for it's location to Redlands/ Riverside area. Sites are 20' by 65' and all pull-throughs. Yes most are side by side so your offside is against your neighbors, but plenty of room to run out slides. It is by far smallest and least desirable of CRA parks. There are a few 50 amp and a few very wide sites. The Rest Area is permanently closed and the road noise is not bad except on the front row. Two ponds with good catch and release fishing for the kids, and adults. Good pool and food as others said. Some workcampers but no "permanents" noticeable. Quiet at night.
We stay here a lot and are disappointed the previous reviewer didn't enjoy it. I am not a spokesman for the park but would like to reply. Only seniors and kids stay here, so? Sounds great to me. There is an adult lodge open until midnight everyday. It has a large TV room, puzzle room, 4 pool table room, Wi-Fi room, and card room. There is a very large family swimming pool with 2 spas and a good sized adult pool with spa. Great fitness room. "Train" rides at the week end. Pickle ball and hoops courts. Two kids play parks. Plus the fishing. Need I go on about activities? So who thought TT CGs were near stores? You only see the geese if you park on the water, Hello! If you are bothered by the flies or smell: park on the South side because there is a prevailing south wind. This is a great family park. My only complaint is cost of Wi-Fi even though it is available free in adult clubhouse.
A very nice CG to be so close into Las Vegas. Wi-Fi worked fine and was free. It has small sites, but there are plenty for the bigger rigs. I have a 45ft 5er. I got the narrowest site which was 15ft wide, yes 15ft. Fortunately no neighbors except one night. According to their markings I had 6 inches on each side once the slides were out. All other sites were at least 18-20 feet. As the snowbirds leave and the weather heats up they allow you to double post the 30Amp for $5/day. I was able to, so even though it was 102 F. I was able to run both ACs and stay cool. Crowded in winter with snowbirds but rest of year not crowded so very nice. Can walk to 3 casinos: Boulder Station, Arizona Charlie's and Sam's Town. Just over a mile to a Super Walmart. Nothing wrong with the area. Will stay again.
As others say a very nice park. Pool is only heated a few months a year, so usually very cold. Fitness equipment is very old. Passport America discount is only for July and Aug. 20% discount other months, which is my rate. Certainly a very nice overnight stop.
I agree with the last two reviews. It is Passport America. Site was long and level, I have a 45 foot 5th wheel. Water pressure good. 50Amp and free Wi-Fi, how can you complain? Edge of town, Walmart 3 mi. Didn't check out restrooms so can't comment. But for a one or two night stop in Las Cruces at this price it is very good. Not a Resort, but clean, safe and convenient.
As others have said a nice overnight park. Restrooms in gas station/ cafe are very old. Long nice pull throughs. Rate is one night PA at $10 and 2nd at regular $20. Which, at $20 for full 50 Amp in a long pull through, is very good considering what you have to chose from between El Paso and Kerrville. Stayed extra night to see Springs at Balmorhea State Park but it was closed. Lots of cactus landscaping. Didn't notice I-10 noise, as we were at back of park. A definite good stopover. No Wi-Fi.
As others have said, It's a great park. Has it all. Two pools, one for only adults in an area of sites only for adults. Fitness equipment could have been better. Beautiful park setting. Stream with ponds full of fish and turtles. They mowed our site grass twice in the week we were there! Very busy, near capacity every night. Many staying for a month or more (Snow Birds, here they are called Winter Texans) but no permanents allowed. Definitely worth a stop.
As others said, older park. Definitely want to get on new concrete pads if a big rig. Wi-Fi is Tengo and slow. "New" exercise room has equipment I was afraid to get on because of age and condition. Rate is weekly on new pads. Plenty of treeless spaces.
Nice park! There are many overnight spaces but there are two reserved at entrance for late arrivals only. Unless you are on the fence row which is for extended stay there is no road noise. There are lots of trees but if you have roof satellite there are some long treeless sites available. I am 60 feet long and was able to stay hooked up. They needed a pool and Wi-Fi to get a 10.
Small older park. Staff very friendly. Not really suited to Big Rigs. Only a few (6) big sites so call ahead. Sites and turning tight. They had to use a ladder and pole to hold up overhead cables. If you are not running a Big Rig and want a friendly nice park this is the one. Wi-Fi is lighting fast. Good 50 Amp.
We agree this is a very nice park. Large sites with 50 Amps. Kids climbing frames with slides. Summer splash park. Nice fishing lake. Small boat rentals. Very user friendly reservation web site. Web site shows site size, orientation, and availability.
Well the KOA folks are gone, as no longer connected with them. This is a very nice park. There is access to a small fishing lake. Contrary to other reviews there are plenty of shade trees. Sites are spacious and yes they are gravel and no grass, but this is Southwest Arizona. If you are RPI and in the area this is a good stop. Yes I am a member as reflected in the rate.
Very nice park. It got a 7 because no Sewer or Wi-Fi. Good website that shows site sizes so there are a few for big rigs as we have a 45ft 5th wheel. Convenient to North San Diego. Will definitely stay again. Need to book ahead as was fully booked well in advance of the Dec. and Jan. period for the larger sites.
Very clean and tidy, yes many long term people but all tidy sites. Huge very warm Pool and Spa. Good internet. Great access to the lake with all Marina and water sports. We stayed a month and rate is based on a large pull through. It is 12 miles to stores. Some sites with water and electric only have Lake Views. If you want access to the water this is a very nice Park. We had PWCs and parked our 45ft 5th wheel, towing truck, towed car and PWCs on site without intruding on our patio side. Must be 30ft by 80ft plus.
If you like The River this is the place. Over 1/4 mile of sandy beach on the river. 4 wheelers are not allowed to be driven in park only golf carts. We come here several times a year and have always gotten 50 Amp site in a row of at least 40. These sites are over 90 feet long. Yes the water front ones are only 30 Amp and narrower. But go back a few rows and you can get out of the crowd. The winter is full of Snow Birds and the Summer weekends with boaters but in the shoulder months the weather is great and not so crowded. WiFi only works in or near club house. As others said great pools and nice miniature golf. Price reflects we are a member.
Park is OK but not great. Sites are side on to the Pond which is very nice but are only 35-40 feet long, so if full you couldn't pull in a 30 plus foot 5th wheel or travel trailer unless they give you two sites which we had with our 40+ 5th wheel as they were slow. Nice playground and pool. Our rate is with Passport America. Big Rigs watch entrance as very sharp turn at office. We went in over the Exit spikes which we covered with a board. Some dairy smell. Worth a try if you have kids and like fishing.
Stayed here through RPI. Flies and smell are not bad in the winter months, but pretty bad in hot summer months. Helps if you stay on South side, away from dairy. Big heated pool during winter that is very nice. Large sites with paved roads and gravel on most sites. There is a charge for Wi-Fi and it is not very good. No 50Amp and no cable TV. It is convenient to I-215. Have stayed here several times. Easy for Big Rigs, even if not many pull through sites.
This is a nice small park. Only 33 sites and many extended stay as there was only 3 sites the night we stayed. Extended stay units are newer and have tidy sites. Friendly staff. Not as central as others seem to think. For $25 it is a very nice place to stay while in Redding. No restrooms or showers.
Not as dismal as suggested by others. Some landscaping and nice pond (lake). No Wi-Fi. I got Direct TV without a problem. A bit tight but some pull throughs and good sized sites if only 18-22 feet wide. We have a 44 foot 5th wheel and it was fine. Mostly long termers.
Outstanding Park. Paved roads and concrete pads with good landscaping. Very helpful staff. Some long termers but newer units and tidy sites. A little far from I-5 for overnighters. Complimentary continental breakfast in clubhouse and daily newspaper delivered to your door.
This is a good overnight park. Pull through sites large enough for a 40+ ft fifth wheel. Many stayed hooked up. Wi-Fi was free and worked good. All paved with concrete pads. Ask for front 3 rows as not part of long term residents in the back of the park. Easy access and short walk to Denny's or Mac Donald's
This is a great campground. Very family oriented with lots of activities, but secluded sites if you just want some peace and quiet. Not many pull through sites, but plenty of long, wide, easy, back ins. There is Wi-Fi in the club house. It is a membership park but accepts both RPI and C2C members. The large heated pool is covered in the winter, very nice.
Some long Pull-Thrus. Friendly staff. Was told there would be a charge for Wi-Fi after 8 free minutes but we were connected all night for no fee. It worked good. Good cable. Heated indoor pool looked good. Older campground with all gravel roads and pads.
