Great campground! Convenient location right next to Dutch Wonderland and down the street from the outlet mall. Washrooms were clean and modern. The sites were easy to pull in and out of. We would stay here again.
Good overnight stop. Convenient off the I-95. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Washrooms were clean. Very good value - one of the lower rates we had on our trip. If we had paid $50/night, I would have probably rated this park a 7 or 8 instead because it is really in need of an update. Everything was clean and in good repair, but just looked old. We would stay here again.
This park's online coupon combo with the Lion Country Safari next door is what drew us here - it was a good deal (nightly rate includes safari admission). It was a nice park - nice sites, clean bathrooms, good Wi-Fi connection. We would stay here again.
Great park! Fantastic beach, lots of activities, clean restrooms. Sites are nice and most are reasonably private. Water hookups are not necessarily conveniently located, so we had to park at a weird angle. Next time, we'll bring some extra hose. This is a popular park, so advance reservations are needed (we booked 11 months ahead). We will definitely stay here again.
This is a fantastic campground! Staff members are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and modern. Laundry facilities were the best I've seen in any RV park we've been too and they were reasonably priced. Our kids loved the pool, the playground, and the shuffleboard. We stayed here overnight on our way down to the Keys and came back for 4 nights while we visited Miami on our way back up the coast. The only reason that I didn't give this campground a 10 was location - it was slightly out of the way, which can be a big deal in Miami traffic. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed here overnight on our way through Fort Lauderdale. The park has convenient access to the city and helpful staff. The washrooms were under major renovations when we were there - they are going to be great when they are done. There is a gate, which is nice for security but for late arrival, we had to call and wait for the owner to drive over and let us in. I thought the park was OK overall for overnight, but my husband said he found it depressing. I'm not sure why exactly - maybe because there wasn't a whole lot of green space, but that is to be expected in the middle of the city.
The good things about this park - convenient off the I-95, clean bathrooms/showers, decent Wi-Fi connection. I wouldn't come in late if you plan on using the bathroom or shower as there is a code to get in, which we could not obtain until the morning. There were no garbage bins (at least not obviously located) so we had to take our trash with us. The only method of payment accepted was cash (no credit cards). Our family is divided as to whether we would stay here again.
This was a nice park. It was very convenient off the I-95. Coming in late was easy. The sites were easy to access and there were lots of trees around for scenery. Loved the crisp Fall air and the crackle of leaves under my feet first thing in the morning! The bathrooms were clean. The only hiccup with the shower was something with the valve - needed to have 2 showers running in order to get hot water. I wish I had known that before I showered that morning! There is Wi-Fi, but I found it totally impossible to use. Slow, and extra logins were a big pain to get through. Overall, it was good value and we would stay here again.
We just paid $35 to be accused of stealing a site, and hassled beyond belief! We arrived late and followed the late check-in instructions that were on the sign at the office to choose any open site and pay in the morning. That was not good enough. Three knocks on our door later (all after 11pm), we're finally told that it's ok to stay until the morning. They weren't going to provide a key to the washroom, but apparently reconsidered and came by at midnight to give us one. It would seem that there is a specific area for overnight and we were just supposed to know that by psychic powers I guess (absolutely no instructions to that effect anywhere). They saw us setting up and could have come and told us then that we were in the wrong place and we would have gladly moved, but no, they waited until we were all hooked up with our two young kids sleeping before they decided to come and pay us a visit. Very poor customer service. We will never come back here again, regardless of how close it is to Jacksonville.
Great park! Beautiful, large campsites with lots of trees & privacy. Very clean washrooms & showers. There are scheduled activities available at no additional charge (i.e. guided hikes, nature programs for children). Canoe rentals are also available (approximately $20-$30 per day). The several small beaches at various locations in the park were great for swimming for adults and children alike.
This park has several different campgrounds, some with electrical sites, some without. The electrical sites are 2km (1.2 miles) away from the beach, so we stayed in a site with no hookup in order to be closer. Generally speaking, sites have lots of trees, which is nice, but makes backing a trailer in difficult. The electrical sites are more trailer-friendly. Some have trees surrounding them, and there are some that are more like a parking lot. The beach is great - one of the nicest in Ontario for sure. The washrooms are ok - they get cleaned several times a day, but with all the sand from the beach being dragged in with the high traffic, they don't stay clean for long. They are also crowded. Expect to wait at least 15 minutes before a shower is free most of the time. This is a very busy park - a reservation is recommended in the summer.
We had fairly low expectations before arriving here after reading earlier reviews. We decided to try it anyway given that it is across the street from Santa's Village, which was where we were headed. The park itself was fine. The sites are really small and packed in, but there are lots of trees around, which made it a bit nicer. The bathrooms were acceptable - not the best we've seen, but not the worst either. We know there was a pool there, but we didn't go looking for it because we had enough stuff to do. The staff were helpful. Most people camping here have young children, and the go-carts from the theme park are a stone's throw away so if you're looking for a quiet place to camp, this isn't it! However, the deal they offer with two nights of camping plus two-day passes to the park is a good one, so it's worth checking out for that reason.
You would never know this park is in the middle of the city! Grass cover on most sites and some shade. Small playground for kids, and clean restrooms. Close to many Toronto attractions - 10 minutes from Metro Toronto Zoo. The only down side is that campsite privacy is limited. Would definitely stay here again.
