Lovely campground in excellent location with nice scenery adjacent. Leaf and evergreen trees throughout campground amid sites. All sites are very spacious and thoughtfully laid out. Nice picnic tables and sturdy fire ring at each site. Good roads, good signage, easy to find. Many owners would put 150 sites in the area this campground has 36. Cordial, helpful, friendly owner. Excellent laundry/bathrooms and amenities with guest enjoyment in mind. Definitely will visit here again. Excellent free Wi-Fi.

Good spot to do sightseeing in Independence and Kansas City - convenient to all. Fair price, nice laundry ($1.00 for wash or dry), iffy free Wi-Fi. Close but long spots to fit any rig, car in front. Not for recreational opportunities at the campground or long stays for vacation, but perfect for sightseeing base to local areas. Safe area right in the middle of the historic district of Independence.

In busy light industrial area right on big roadways, but quiet enough in the park. Excellent strong Wi-Fi free is a big plus. Low water pressure. Clean gravel/sand roads. Not scenic, but safe and decent for visiting Indianapolis area and very close to downtown Indianapolis area. Right off of 37 near 465. Convenient location. Near major shopping areas.

We were here in early November and the campground had only 3-4 visitors. There is plenty of space, excellent strong wi-fi, very friendly owner. We thought it was lovely, lots of grass, quiet, no road noise, close to downtown Springfield (10 minutes to the excellent Lincoln Museum). We did not see bathrooms or laundry. The owner, was exceptionally cordial and helpful. We usually use KOA only as last resort but we were pleasantly surprised with this one. Right in the middle of cornfields, but nice big trees too.

Lovely large Ohio state park on Route 58 slightly south of Lorain, just south of town of Oberlin (home of Oberlin College). Many sites, excellent paved roads, many long hiking trails, lake, very wooded, good facilities. Convenient and good dump site and water available. Enough room for everyone to bike, hike, relax. Quiet, easy to find. Go south on 58 through lovely farmland area and see Amish carriages on the road with you.

Modern campground right off I-295 in JAX. Level sites some with shade. This is not a destination luxury resort, but is convenient modern campground for those needing to stay in this area or passing through.

Large campground with some gravel sites, some with cement pad, some with full hook-ups. Many sites with water/electric. Lovely tall oak trees for shade, many nice grass sites. Close to historic downtown, next to new Publix. Easy access to islands, plantations, downtown and all highways. If you need 50 amp/sewer, call ahead to be sure of availability. Relaxing place to stay, sites not too close and access via paved roads is good. We will stay here again.

Much nicer than usual KOA. Spacious sites, some nicely made on hillsides, good pull-throughs, nice overall arrangement with thoughtful details. Great area for touring Blue Ridge Parkway. Call ahead for directions. Very friendly management. None of the usual KOA junk (rental toys, etc.) laying around or in evidence. Sites much better than usual KOA style. Not an "all kids, all the time" type KOA. Garbage can at almost every site. Will return happily.

Big new KOA with numerous things for kids/groups -loads of space, pavilions, organized activity spaces, large restaurant, store filled with goodies kids will love, friendly management. At Exit 100 of I-81. Gravel level sites, no vegetation between, lovely area in general. If you like KOA's, you'll love this one as it is much larger, newer, less cluttered, friendlier management than most. They even have garbage pick-up! Family style campground. Our Verizon broadband air card and Verizon phones worked well.

Gigantic RV/house/park model type of place with every amenity, numerous neighborhoods and levels of sites. It does not have any transient feel and most sites are owned and you'll get a sales pitch. If you are "on the road" exploring to see new and different areas and folks, this probably isn't the place for you. If you want a Florida place for the winter to golf (too cold for swimming this far north) or socialize, this might be it. Gated community, miles of roads to bike/walk on.

Beautifully managed and maintained resort. Lovely sites. An oasis in the middle of light industrial/commercial side of town, heavy traffic locally. Adjacent to a very busy big water park - if you want quiet, be sure to ask to be away from that. Can be noisy with traffic from 95. We could use about 100 more resorts like this.

Good points: close to ocean, close to stores, close to West Palm Beach area, very nice pool and good lounges, good shade at pool, good if pricey laundry, some sites have wonderful vegetation and concrete pads. Bad points: very crowded, questionable management, all condos with attendant problems, small roads, small sites in many cases, many older park models, one area appears to be low income rentals, many sites for sale, high cost, large numbers of grandkids during all school holidays. Not built for today's motorhome sizes.

Right on a large tidal bay, great for shallow swimming (high tide) or clam digging or walks (low tide), sandy beach adjacent. Very scenic area. Easy to find with directions from campground. Toilets are portapotties scattered throughout campground. Ocean sites are in large field area with no sewer connections, but honey wagon is available and dump site near entrance. Campground is not particularly well kept although the owners are very nice and helpful. Lots of room for kids to wander and play. Excellent lobsters (cooked or uncooked) available delivered to your campsite by local lobster people. Exceptionally buggy (mosquitoes and green head flies) when we were there in late July. Just south of Bath. Overall the campground is spacious in general, outstanding scenic views, great location, but needs basic maintenance and groundskeeping. We suffered a bad black ant infestation at our site, which, with the mosquitoes and flies, made our visit a bit unpleasant overall.

We stayed here one week. We found the place absolutely lovely in every way and could not suggest a way to make it cleaner or better managed. We found the staff very cordial and they do a wonderful job from everything we saw. This is obviously a meticulously cared for park. If you need space/entertainment for children or pets, the lovely nearby St. Andrew State Park is a great location.

Excellent in every way. Very thoughtful management. Very clean. Wonderful adult campground right off of I-75. Delightful facilities. Great shaded spots, lovely landscaping.

True camping experience for those wanting to be in the middle of nature. 50amp spots are in area 5.

Adjacent to a stream that is a water attraction and just off I-81 in Lickdale, PA. Rather poorly maintained campground with busy expanded campground store open at 4AM-10PM. Appears to be popular with regulars and permanent residents. Friendly staff. The only site available when we arrived was over the dump station - where the young man said we could hook up to water and electric. We did not hook up to water ("nice spring water") and luckily since the signs (pointing in other directions) said "water not for drinking".

Mostly ill-kept area for permanent residents, but also an area for daily visitors that is acceptable for an overnight. Gravel interior roads and spots. Looks like there are not too many rules about anything so those not liking rules might like this place. If you need to stay here, call ahead because of the Freightliner factory and service nearby, it can be filled by groups. Not a destination. The wonderful national scenic by-way Route 11 goes from Gaffney south to Lake Hartwell area.

Right off of I-85 at the GA/SC line and a real treasure. Quiet, beautiful and well-maintained. No 50 amp service. Might be a bit tight for anything over 40', all roads are narrow but paved. Staff very accommodating. Lovely loop roads to walk, very shady, lovely lake views.

Tent, small trailer and cabin oriented family campground with nice landscaping and large grass areas. Many planned family type activities. There are some gravel pull thrus for larger motorhomes, but in a parking lot style area. The prettier areas of the campground are tight for larger vehicles and have very limited parking for tow vehicle. Storage of old vehicles on the property detracts from overall attractiveness. The "lake" is very shallow and was full of weeds on our visit. Large price list with upcharges for 50amp, sewer, cable, etc.

Great location. Old fish camp with haphazard site arrangement. If you have a big rig, be very careful to walk to your site first and check for potential dangers. We got a good site for our 40' MH, but the 40' that pulled in next to us at night got stuck in deep sand and we spent all night helping them dig out the rig so the commercial tow truck could pull them out (hours of digging in sweltering heat and bugs with every breath.) Beach right at campground is beautiful sight, but loaded with broken glass - do not even think of swimming there or walking without solid shoes - for some reason the bottles tossed overboard by the boats all come to this area. Nice area to walk around, ladies who run office are lots of fun, pool is heated and shaded and generally clean. Bathrooms fall just at OK. Nice place to rest under the trees and away from everything. Gorgeous state beaches for swimming a short drive away. Long ride back to stores. I wouldn't risk it with kids due to dangers and lack of kid things to do. Think redneck fishing camp that lets in RVs. You need good driving skills to stay here. Arrive early in day as you get to pick your spot - not many for bigger size rigs. You might be next to a tent - we met lovely people tenting next to us.

What a jewel of an RV park. Spacious treed sites with covered ramada and in ground fire pit, overlooking Lyman Lake. Trails, petroglyphs, hiking, walking, swimming, fishing, boating. Information available from personable and friendly rangers, including on-site ranger living in the park. It would be hard to do better than this. We will definitely return. Beautiful views in every direction and sites spread around large area.

Nice new park, wide paved roads, concrete sites and grass. Nice facilities. Right off I-10. Excellent Passport rate and friendly staff. Had a fabulous dinner at Pappadeaux about 1 mile east. A tornado shelter is the only thing lacking in this nice park!

Brand new, wide paved streets, wide concrete sites, picnic tables, spotless facilities and nice pool. Bathrooms/laundry are made of concrete blocks (we were here in tornado season). Passport American Sun-Thurs so we paid $13.88. Friendly, helpful staff. We will definitely return when in this area. No mosquitoes when we were here!

Excellent park for staying while taking the train. Brand new, spotless and spacious facilities, excellent management, nice town. Great to stay while you take the train or drive to the Canyon. Very kid/animal friendly. No shade, but nice views in all directions. Trains not bothersome - only 1-3 a night, but hours in between. This is not the line that goes through Flagstaff with 125 trains/day. Try Pancho McGuillicudy's on Main Street for very good Mexican food and atmosphere. The train was great. Avoid the $28/pp "Grand Rim Tour" - buses are old, dirty and sully the experience with diesel fumes. The train depot is right across from the free NPS shuttles on the park roads and you can easily find something to eat and avoid the "hot buffet" cafeteria that comes with the tour. Supermarket within walking distance, as is Main Street of Williams.

Very nice modern, spotless campground, excellent bathrooms and laundry. Very friendly management and other campers. Paved roads, stone sites with desert landscaping with small trees at many sites. Overlooking Lake Mead. Busy on weekends with boaters so call ahead for reservations. Very close to Hoover Dam and 21 miles from Las Vegas. Stay here and drive into Vegas rather than getting mixed up in the noise and crowding of Vegas. Definitely would return. Cash or check only.

Typical KOA. Very nice staff, lots of kid stuff to use or rent, facilities neat but in need of real cleaning rather than quick swipe cleaning. Our row of sites (A) had good space between sites. Brick patios unlevel and landscaping typical of the "more or less" style of KOA upkeep. Convenient to everything with good bus service to downtown. Picnic tables and BBQ's at site. Nice shade trees.

Clean, neatly landscaped and spacious desert gated park right off of I-40 at exit 233, behind large gas station. Regular fee is $24 - we used Passport America and for $12 were eligible for water/electricity only site, but a very nice pull through one in the middle of the park. No road noise. Register in the gas station which also includes a store (food, beverages, maps, books, t-shirts, etc.) and Subway. Excellent Verizon reception for phone and air card. Great road stop.

This is the most beautiful campground we have ever stayed in. It is in the middle of the Gila National Wilderness, 4 miles from the famous "Catwalk" National Recreation Trail. 3 fabulous natural hot springs pools (fee). 360 degree views of magnificent mountains, river valley. Huge sites that can accommodate whichever view you wish to face (east or west) with full hook-ups on both sides. Picnic tables and lovely stone fire/BBQ structures at each site. Several beautiful tent sites. This campground is only for those seeking a true nature experience and who do not wish noise, amenities or entertainment features. Two lovely home-style bathrooms (l handicap accessible), laundry. Nearest stores are in Silver City - about 60 miles south. If you wish to be out of touch with this crazy world and in total touch with nature, complete peace, quiet and totally dark skies full of stars...this is the place. Reservations required. Wonderful owner/manager.

This natural campground is a little gem in the middle of not much. It is right along the Nueces River, has much open space and grass, and many very large shade trees. Many back-ins available along the river or overlooking the river. Several pull-throughs as shown on their website. If you want a quiet, peaceful, natural setting with birds, wildlife, and lots of walking area, this lovely campground should be considered. Sites are spacious and not all side-by-side. Picnic tables and fire rings with a big box of wood for $3. What a delight after staying in the crowded RGV!

New campground that rates lower than a resort, but better than a campground. Back-in concrete sites a bit close together. Unique circles of RV's and very large sites also available. Mostly Canadians and mid-westerners spending the winter. Only a couple of park models which are for rent, as well as several "casitas". Nice landscaping, right next to state park right on Rio Grande. Too small swimming pool. Excellent laundry and bathrooms. Woodworking and crafts. Many activities. Probably the nicest RV park in the RGV.

Impressive brochure, lovely entrance, huge (2700 acres) property of an old large fort with many buildings, many restored some time ago in some parts. The further one drives into the park, the shabbier things begin to look. Many of the buildings have been turned into row houses - which if cared for, would be lovely. Other parts of the park have aging park models here and there. The "RV" park is a big dirt parking lot with spaces close together, no shade - a big disappointment because there is a lot of undeveloped land. Our site overlooked the storage area of obsolete boats, trailers and junk. We had hoped to stay for a week or so, but checked in for only 1 night and were thankful we could use Passport for a total price of $12.75. The whole place looks like it is quite short of funds and is sliding downhill, despite all the very interesting facilities, land, huge natural springs pool, 2 golf courses, 22 miles of roads to bike and walk. Sites quite close together also. Not the worst RV place we have ever seen, but for sure the biggest disappointment. A couple of million into this entire place to re-energize it and it would be sold out year-round.

On 12/22/06 this lovely park turned into a KOA. Immediately there was a significant downturn in services to KOA level. This has been a very nice, spotless, friendly park. This area is very, very windy - usually at least 10-15mph, if not more commonly 20-30mph+.

A beautiful campground in rolling fields of this lovely country area. Good size level gravel sites with lovely large leaf trees everywhere. Beautiful pet area and walking trail. A real lovely country setting in every direction. Quiet in every way. LOvely owners. If your children need toys and activities, this isn't for you. Excellent for large motorhomes. Peaceful in every way.

Better than average KOA. Many large shade trees, nice facilities. About 13 miles east of Oklahoma City but quick access on big highways takes you into the city easily. Clean new large washers and dryers ($l.50 each). Much better than other local campgrounds which seem to lean toward old trailers and noisy areas. We would stay here again. Child facilities are in one area. Very cordial staff. Verizon broadband air cards get 100% reception here. Easy online reservation system.

You won't believe this campground is a KOA. Nestled in a beautiful area surrounded by lovely large trees everywhere, you'll have a very large site. Beautiful, quiet campground to walk around. Friendly staff. Close to many interesting sites and excellent shopping. Adult oriented.

The park is on CR1431 - small sign. Call ahead (at least l day, preferably more) for instructions. Voice mail answers calls and you have to await return call which could be some hours. The park has a lower part where cell/TV reception is poor unless you have monthly cable service. The lower part of the park is the more attractive area with nice trees and not all sites are side by side. The upper part of the park is newer with close sites, but better cell reception and unattractive views. No pool, no cable TV. Looks to be more of an extended stay type of campground. About 30 minutes from downtown Austin, but the development is encroaching very fast. Come to see the Texas hill country before it is all developed which will be soon. We stayed in the lower section and just barely got Verizon reception. Friendly management.

Probably the best place to stay while visiting DC. They have clear, correct, detailed information in writing on everything you need to know about getting into DC. Onsite Metro bus stop at the main entrance. Very good facilities and park events for all types of campers. Gravel sites, mostly side-by-side. The most camper-friendly management policies we have ever experienced. Well-staffed, friendly, helpful - the store even carries the New York papers!

Excellent for kids/teens - numerous activities and facilities available. Typical Jellystone campground, some gravel pull through sites.

In the woods at the "Desert of Maine" attraction of nature trails, an unusual sand desert of 47 acres. Big rig access at only a few sites - call ahead and verify. Many sites have no sewer hookup. Lovely shaded, wooded sites for smaller RV's. Great location right off 295 in Freeport, very friendly help. Lots of things to see easily accessible from here. Quiet, scenic, natural type campground, clean and well-kept. Desert is quite interesting to visit.

Excellent brochure and ad, not so great campground. Not suitable for large motorhomes due to soft, moist grass sites. Many children. Good for families with children, not too fussy about facilities. Definitely lower end campground, not RV resort.

This park is delightful - it's on 48 acres, has excellent recreational facilities - golf, walking trails, nature trails, long bike path, watersports, ball fields of all types. No swimming pool and no swimming in lake, but plenty of boats and skiing on lake. Very helpful and kind park rangers. Clean campground, good security. This is a family friendly park, but not totally overrun by kids - at least when we were there. It is busier on weekends. You can camp with a tent to a big rig and be part of the fun. Close to every type of store. Next to small airport so if airplane noise bothers you a lot - this might be a problem for you. If you like to be active or observe activity, this is a great spot! We loved it.

A little jewel just off I-95 far enough to have no road noise. No fancy facilities, just good paved sites, nice large trees surround the park, no ugly sights to look at (at least when the trees are all out, nice picnic table at each site. Laundry and cable TV. In great location to see the numerous local sights of interest or just stop for an overnight off 95. Fine for big rigs towing - our site was 71'. Cash only. Friendly, helpful management.

Good for an overnight. We usually avoid KOA's but given the reviews on the other alternative's reviews...we stayed here. It is a large gravel parking lot but good cable and easy in-out. Large commercial size laundry. Right off of I-40 next to La Quinta. Good signage.

A true 5 star resort. About l/2 park models, l/2 RV sites with 25' lower limit, special Class A section. 2 pools (both under screen) and 2 clubhouses - l small and l large of each. In North Naples just a block down from Immokolee Road on Collier Road (951). Publix, drugstore, other services across street. Well run, spotless, beautifully landscaped park and sites. Many activities in season. Not a resort for kids. What you would expect to get for the price. Traffic in Naples is increasing by the day - almost intolerable Jan-end of March.

Excellent new facilities, good wifi. 50%+ of sites are park models. No shade, gravel RV site with concrete patio and concrete car park area (not connected). Could be improved greatly by more landscaping between sites to provide shade and privacy. Surrounding area is south Florida agricultural. Rating of 5W in Woodall's is accurate for facilities, inaccurate for sites and general atmosphere. More of a mid-level snowbird resort than an upscale resort.

Location is very good for Disney access. Price is steep at $64/night in mid-April, plus $2.00 for cable. Plus $6 per 12 hours wifi access (only other options are for monthly access rates) with very low signal reception (we were next to the Hotspotzz station we were told. ) This is definitely a updated KOA, roads and sites are paved, occasional patio furniture, but it is a KOA - sites are close together in most cases. If being close to Disney/shopping are your needs, this is OK. We have stayed in worse campgrounds in this area, but the price here seems a bit on the high side for a KOA. The total tab less the KOA discount, plus the taxes was $67.23 for one night. The cost of the wifi via Hotspotzz is really aggravating - most other wifi companies at campgrounds at least give you 24 hours for the price or offer 3 day or 1 week service at reasonable cost. But like everything at any KOA - expect the least for the most.

This must be one of the older Outdoor Resorts. We were surprised to see how small most of the pads were and pretty low maintenance of area, pads and facilities - compared to most Outdoor Resorts. Internet access is essentially impossible from the resort unless you have cell internet service. You have to go to the one island internet cafes and pay (about 10 minutes) or the library (good luck). The pool area was very nice although maintenance of it was a bit sparse. It looked like there is no on-site maintenance manager; we did see contractors coming in but moving pretty slow. The resort has a good central location and apparently is one of the only 2 on the island, but it sure has lowered our expectations of an Outdoor Resort. The sites are so narrow and the landscaping so poorly done - but again, certainly better than many "campgrounds" we have been in. Staff friendly.

This campground is in beautiful Alpine which is about 100 miles from the center of Big Bend National Park. It is 26 beautiful miles to Ft. Davis National Park which is very worthwhile, and from there take the 72 mile scenic route that is magnificent - and stop and see one of the world's best astronomy observatories along the way. Alpine has a great little main street and side streets with wonderful little restaurants, a couple of excellent book shops (with the New York Times and WSJ available daily!), a number of art galleries, a couple of bars with live music and a real little west Texas feel to it. There is a Big Bend Museum at the local Sul Ross University in town. This RV park is a campground, not a destination with full facilities for entertainment. There is excellent wifi. Each site has 1-2 15-18' pine trees on it, most have picnic tables and some cactus here and there. Laundry is very clean. Mouintain views in every direction are beautiful. The sites are very long and car/RV washing is available at a special spot in the campground for a small charge (this is a semi-arid desert). Roads and sites are dirt and level and there is grass in all areas that are not roads or sites. We came for a day and we are staying for at least a week - we had no idea this part of Texas had so many interesting things to see and do. We're going to follow 90 over to San Antonio - no additional mileage from I-10 and lots of things to see on this red road.

Very convenient to everything, good facilities. Not scenic in any way, easy on, easy off from freeway. A good base for seeing the area. In addition to the daily rate, there are 3 taxes, an electric charge and phone charges added to the bill. Clean, utilitarian. Each site has nice table and chairs and a small citrus tree, sites are adequate size.

OK for overnight in Yuma when passing through, very easy access of I-10W. Mostly snowbirds in small trailers/mobile homes. Pull throughs are close but tolerable. Not what we would call a destination resort.

Great RV resort. Sites are concrete, all paved roads, lots of shrubs and trees between sites although they are a bit close. Great facilities, adjacent to wonderful parks and marina. Many activities. Good security. Make reservations. Bike trails, walking trails along parks, no city noise, 8 miles from downtown San Diego. $5/day wifi. You won't be sorry if you stay here.

Probably near the top of the KOA parks, but still has tired and overpriced facilities. Lots of kids, lots of rental wheeled vehicles for kids, very busy on weekends. Only some sites get wifi, most do not so be sure to ask on reservation. One dial-up connection in activities room. Many sites are very tight and barely room or tow vehicle - ask for a large site if you have a 40' or larger. Most roads are very tight to maneuver. Paved roads, concrete sites, grass between sites, but sites are close. Nice shade trees. Locked gates at night. Much better than most KOAs. Lots of rallies. I wouldn't call it a "resort", but it is a good campground close to the city.

As of 2/05 this place looks l/2 finished and looks like it is going to be mostly park models. Paved roads, gravel sites, modern clubhouse/pool, but no charm or atmosphere. This is a couple of miles past the military base of Ft. Huachuaca in busy Sierra Vista. The weather here is usually good and there are many things to see in the area. The management needs to pay attention to adding some major landscaping to turn this into a nice park, not a gravel parking lot. We got the feeling it is about l/2 finished. Can't imagine how TL and Woodall's could give this place great ratings in its current condition.

We stayed here in high season without reservations and had to take the most expensive waterside site. We checked in at 2pm and had to wait until 7pm for our site because the party in it was using the beach and did not wish to leave. The management gave us a site near the dumpster "to wait in until they leave, we really can't do anything about it." The campground itself is very crowded, dense with vegetation and seems to be a community on its own. Every night there is a BYOB cocktail gathering at the nice beach. There were a lot of quite old vehicles of different types (old VW bus with tents attached, etc.) but the vegetation was good cover. Looks like a lot of people return year after year. The beach is very nice sand and water and good sized. Nice little snack bar/bar and dock. Considering how few beaches there are like this in the Keys that have a campground on them at any price, it's hard to complain. It certainly beats the KOA Fiesta Key by a mile.

The supply of campgrounds in the Keys is very tight so you can't expect much to start with. This is a typical KOA - zillions of kids in the streets, tight spots, lots of noise, facilities run down and prices high. If you like high confusion, tiny sites and essentially no beach - this is the place for you. We got one of the most expensive sites right on the water - we were so close to the neighbors sides and back that we could hear their normal conversations from inside their RVs to inside ours. Great place for those seeking lots of activities and lots of kids. Adults only seeking quiet better go somewhere else - like Bluewater Key - for the same money.
