We paid for 2 nights and got the 3rd night free with a coupon in The Review Journal. We got a pull-in site overlooking the golf course. The trouble is the area between the golf course and the RV park is strewn with garbage and loaded with dog waste. Totally disgusting view. They should use some of their casino winnings to clean up that area. They charge for Wi-Fi. The sites are close together. They do have free dry-camping if you don't want hookups.
We paid $109 to stay here a week. The staff was very friendly and gave us a site on the lowest level as I requested that was near a grassy area for my dogs that I pick up after. It is very convenient to walk to the casino. They did not have free wifi but we did get a good signal for our cell phone which we use as a modem. We could not use our sewer connection because it was too high and we had to use their dump station. The weekly rate averages out to a good daily rate.
This is a Passport America Park and well worth the price. It is nice and clean. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The wifi is free and works great. We did have trouble finding the park as the sign is rather small with yellow lettering on a small orange sign. We both needed haircuts and the owner recommended her beautician who only charged $7 and did an excellent job! Only a couple miles from Wal-Mart. Will stay here again.
We stay here whenever we visit Tunica. Wish they had wifi. The sites are nice and grassy and good size. It is dog friendly with nice areas or a field to walk them in. You can easily walk to the casino. You can get a free morning paper at the office. They now have good cell phone reception at sites - at least for T-Mobile. We prefer this to the Grand Casino because it is closer to other casinos and cheaper.
This is a very pretty park and has a nice walk going around the lake and up to the casino but you do have to watch out for duck droppings. You can use your Passport America membership for 3 days which we did and also got a free nights camping by buying $25 worth of gas at their station. The cable TV worked ok but the wifi was not free so we did not sign up for it. We used our cell phone to get online instead. The food at the restaurant was decent. It's very dog friendly.
We were in a massive traffic jam on I26 and made a quick exit at exit 136 and found this park listed in an old Exit Authority off exit 139. This park is not listed in the RV campground books like Trailer Life. We drove a couple miles to it and had no clue what we were getting into. All we knew was it had rained all day and the last thing we wanted to do was sit in stand-still traffic. Well, imagine our delight when we turned into a campground with a beautiful lake and 30 exceptionally large/level/clean parallel grassy sites. It was very quiet and well lit. We were able to get local stations on our TV. The view was beautiful. No amenities and no owner - we put our money in the drop box. It cost $20 and was worth every penny. The pasture next to us had a darling burrow.
This is a Passport America park and the price can't be beat. The sites are roomy with lots of grass. Our end site was excellent for walking our dogs with a big grassy area next to it. Very nice clean park. You can stay here 5 days at the Passport rate. This is probably the best-paying casino I ever went to (still lost). I walked to the casino but you probably would be better off driving or taking the shuttle which comes around frequently. The wifi is not free so we just used our cell phone (great coverage) to get online. Definitely would recommend this park.
This is a great Passport America Park. The free wifi worked excellent and we had over 70 cable channels. The park is very nice with level gravel sites and lots of grass in between. It has an exceptionally clean dog walk area. It is very quiet. The owner is friendly. He does have rules. One rule mentioned by other reviewers is the parallel parking issue. Since our RV is only 26 feet I made sure we could park straight in! He assured me we could as his concern was simply that your car should not stick out in the road. There are six individual shower/bathrooms. We will definitely camp here again.
We were very impressed with this Passport America campground. We joined Passport America when we registered and got 3 nights of camping/full hook-ups including free wi-fi and cable with HBO for $12.50 per night. The sites are large, gravel and level. The clerk was pleasant and helpful. The small town has a nice grocery, postoffice and bookstore among other shops. As for the trains that go by - so what! They are across the highway at least 100 yards away and they are a non-issue. This is one of the better, cleaner, nicer looking parks we have stayed at in TX. It is behind a very nice looking motel. It sits on a hilltop and the views in all directions are pleasing. Worth the regular rate of $25 and definitely a bargain at $12.50 per night! This park is right off US90. They do not have a laundry so don't plan on doing your wash here. Also they have a very small albeit clean shower.
