Nice park, but in need of swimming pool. No playground for kids to play, no clubhouse (in process of being built). Owners are very friendly and helpful. Very clean and quiet park. Not sure if children are welcome or not since there isn't anything for them to do when they get here. You can fish in the lake, but no swimming. It was extremely hot and humid when we were here, so a pool would be nice, but were told by the owners that they weren't building one. I thought it was a little pricey without any amenities. Would not stay here again unless a pool was added.
Stayed at this park last year as it is the nearest one to my daughter's house when we visit, but was very disappointed. In 2004 there were new owners and promises of improvements to the campground and we were very excited to see what a year would bring, but we were very disappointed when there were no improvements since last year. Everything seemed the same. They seem to crowd everyone in a few sites when they have alot of vacant sites that they could spread you out. The sites are narrow anyway and it just seemed too crowded this time. I think next year we will have to try to find somewhere else to stay and will only stay here if nothing else is available. Very nice people run the campground, but much needed improvements are not being made.
We didn't actually stay at this campground because we drove in and they took us to our site and it was awful. We had to use 4-wheel drive to get up road to site and there were so many trees that is was very hard to manuever with a 37' 5th wheel. The ruts were at least 12" deep along side the road and there wasn't anyway the trailer could have been leveled. It was like staying on the side of a hill! It was undoubtedly the worst campground we have been to yet. Don't be fooled by their website description as it is not at all like it appears. After some manuevering to get our rig out of the site, we left and stayed further down the road. It was definitely a dump in my opinion. Should be rated in the negatives.
Okay campground for overnight stay which is what we did as we were just passing thru. The other campground we stopped before this one was a dump and we didn't feel like driving too much further as it had been a long day as it was, so we paid the $30 rate and stayed at this KOA. Don't feel it was worth the price and would try to find someplace else if passing thru again, but it was okay in a pinch.
