We visited this campground for the first time this year. It is open year round and it was a warmer weekend so we thought we would try it. I was not overly impressed with the appearance of it. I did try to keep in mind that it was the beginning of spring and maybe they didn't have time to do much clean up yet, but things were quite rundown. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel and were told that they could accommodate us, but the site was small for our unit. It ended up working out since there were not many people camping here this weekend, but had we come here when they were more full, we would have had a very difficult time getting down the narrow roads and small sites. The sites were not very level and we needed to do quite a bit of adjustments just to level our our unit. This campground may be nicer during the summer months but we would probably not stay here again.
This is one of the best campgrounds I have ever stayed at. It is very well-kept and maintained. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel and it is very easy to maneuver around this park. The sites are very spacious and clean. We stayed in a patio site over this weekend and those are definitely worth the money. They have a large concrete patio, fire pit and swing. The indoor pool was great considering the temperatures were quite cool this weekend and it gave our kids something fun to do. I was a bit disappointed that there weren't more activities for the kids but the pool was a great benefit. The staff at this campground was very nice and had some great information on the activities to do in this areas, such as visiting Watkins Glen State Park. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this park over Memorial Day weekend. It was a very nice campground with a lot to do. The waterpark/beach area is very nice and was a huge hit with our whole family. The only small complaint I would have regarding the lake is that the water was quite cold but that is to be expected for this time of year in northeast Ohio! We have a golf cart and were very thankful for that since the sites are pretty far from the beach. The sites are a bit close together in some areas, but we have a 40 foot fifth wheel toy hauler and didn't have much of a problem getting into our site. The restaurant on site is nice for a quick snack and their breakfast buffet was nice and quite inexpensive. Over the holiday weekend, they had a band/DJ both Friday and Saturday night which was quite a hit with the adults and kids. The only downside to this park is the amount of golfcarts and it doesn't seem as though they really care who is driving them. I saw quite a few young kids on them later into the evening going quite fast. Other than that, it is a wonderful campground with so much to do. We would definitely stay here again.
We were very disappointed in this campground. It was one of the most dirty campgrounds I have ever seen in my life. We had made reservations to stay here for 4 nights and ended up leaving before we even set up on the first night. The road leading back to the campground has several businesses which didn't even appear open and had many of the windows broken. We did have some hope when we pulled in since the entrance appeared clean and well-kept. The staff in the front office were very nice and helpful. The pool is right in the front of the park and appeared to be clean and neat. It all went downhill from there. The staff member who took us back to our site had us drive down some winding roads and the trees were so low and not trimmed so they were rubbing along the top of our camper the entire way. When we made the reservation, we were very clear that our camper is 40 feet long and were told we were given one of the biggest spots in the park. We didn't even fit on the site! The front of the camper was sticking out onto the street! The site was terrible. There was garbage all over and the fire ring was made up of about 10 concrete blocks thrown into a pile. We were also told that we had a "riverview" site. We could not see anything of the river as there was untrimmed and unkempt brush overgrown all over the place. We did take a quick look around to see if we could find another site that would fit us with no luck. I ended up calling their emergency number and explaining the situation and letting them know that we would be leaving and I would not feel comfortable staying here. The staff that we spoke with was very nice and didn't even ask why we were leaving and offered a full refund as well as to check if we needed any help. The only issue that we had was a rude staff member who was on a golf cart and had let us to our site that questioned us as to why we were packing up and was quite rude regarding the situation. I would not stay here again.
We stayed at this campground for one night on our way through to Florida. After staying for the night, I wish we had chosen to stay for a few more days. It is a very nice campground with very easy access right off of I-95. The staff was very accommodating and the entire campground was very clean and well-kept. The pool was very nice and well maintained. We have stayed at many KOA campgrounds over the years and this is one of the nicest we have been at. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at this park for 3 nights. It is an absolutely beautiful and immaculate resort and one of the best parks we have ever stayed at. The sites were spacious and level. The waterpark and pools were clean and our children who are 9 and 7 practically lived there! There was a very nice mini golf course as well as ice cream shop that unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
