We stayed here to avoid the flooding in N Colorado. Arrived late (dusk) after confirming they had spots available. It had been raining so the park was full of puddles. The asphalt roads are in poor condition so there are potholes everywhere and chunks of asphalt in the roads. The first spot we went to had too much water, potholes, and mud. We opted for a different spot that looked more level and had less water. After leveling the 5th wheel my wife went inside our rig only to find she had tracked in dog crap on her shoes. Looking further we found several more piles of dog crap on our site. These were from a LARGE dog. I looked out in the field next to the park and there was a guy with 3 great danes running loose....found the source. The park is old and there are a lot of full timers. The owner evidently doesn't care and the park reflects it. When my wife told the clerk about the dog crap problem she said "Why don't you just leave.." Nice attitude! On the bright side the on-site restaurant is nice and they have a good staff. Please remember to clean up after your pets

Beautiful views. Not a lot of amenities, no showers (too bad) Very dark at night. Its like generic camping..electric and H2O only in our loop. Some loops don't have anything. Ranger Pat was wonderful, he guided us to some great activities in the area including a spectacular drive through the Big Horn basin! Don't miss the Buffalo Bill Museum. Theres an RV park in Cody but Buffalo Bill SP gives you more room. We would stay again if we could get another lake view site.

Beautiful park. We had a spot on top of a hill with a super view of the Snake river. The park is full of trails and lots of sightseeing. The only bad point was one of the Rangers didn't seem too keen on renting canoes to us because we didn't have any prior experience. We would camp here again.

Great park with a great staff! The spots were clean and fairly level. The rangers are extremely helpful They even cut down a small tree that was rubbing against our rig. They also offer a lot of things to do in the area. Don't miss the Pendleton underground tour, its really neat. The only drawback is the traffic noise from the freeway. Sites further away from the freeway do a little better.
