Very, very nice park, very well kept. Great view of the Columbia River, watching ships and barges pass by, and some fishing boats and sail boats. Paved roads, in fact, they just seal-coated one half of the park while we were here. Good water pressure, electric was fine, as was cable. Nice "mini store" with food items and toiletries, even some common RV stuff. Lending library of DVD's, tapes, books, puzzles, etc. Obvious pride of ownership and management. Large pet area in a huge grassy area between the RV's and the beach, and you can walk your dog down or up river on the river's edge. The grass is mowed weekly. This park is close enough to run down to Vancouver or Portland, Oregon, only about 30 minutes away. The only reason we gave the park a "9" out of 10 is that the Wi-Fi is not free. Well, 30 minutes a day is, but then you have to sign up with a local Wi-Fi "provider" - for $2.00. That seems kind of cheap on ownership's part - they cannot include that in the price? But that's our only negative comment, and we would definitely come back here again, hopefully for a longer stay than the 3 nights we spent this time.

This is probably the best RV park in Westport. As we were driving around, we looked at several others, and American Sunset stood out as being the best. Paved roads, although the spots are grassy. Plenty of room to maneuver. The spots are advertised as "pull through", which is correct if there is no one in the spot behind you. Otherwise, you have to back in, which is no real problem - again, lots of room. The laundry looked fine (we didn't use it); the pool was heated to 85 degrees (again, didn't use it); and the office has a nice store that was surprisingly well stocked. They sell propane on site, too, making it real convenient to "top off" when leaving the park. The park is well kept with a staff of several full timers working part time. Fire "pits" are provided and they sell firewood. Each site has a picnic table too, and there are quite a few "shade" trees - I say "shade" because they are mature pines, which provide some shade, but not a lot. However, it doesn't get hot out on the Washington coast anyway. An easy drive to town, and to the ocean too. We definitely would stay here again, hopefully, soon.

First night in our new motorhome enroute home from California to Washington. Beautiful park! Excellent help from the park manager. He knew we were "newbies" and came by to personally assist us. Spotless showers and restrooms. The only reason we gave it a 9 is that it is fairly close to the freeway noise. We would definitely come back.

We agree with previous comments regarding the management. Extremely rude and unfriendly.

Clean, well kept. Park is 5 years old, and still looks "new" with very young trees. There is ample room between spaces, and space to park a car or truck too. There is a nice, high fence around the perimeter that sets the park apart from the neighborhood, which is industrial-based. The park backs up to a local municipal golf course. It is a nice place to walk a dog. There were numerous "full time" residents, but they kept their places neat and orderly. The clubhouse is very nice, but the unfortunate thing is it closes every day at 6:00pm, so you cannot use the lounge (with fireplace) or pool table in the evenings, which we thought was kind of odd. The onsite management was very helpful and courteous and pleasant.
