We went there during off season, pool was not opened, but looked nice. Shaded and open level sites. They are adding new sections, and their cabins looked real nice. We enjoyed the proximity to Gettysburg battle field. They have private bathrooms, and everything was very clean. We will go again and would recomment this campground. We didn't have time to enjoy the fishing pond. They have a big rec center and had activities planned, which looked like fun - we didn't have time to attend.
We went during their opening weekend. It was very relaxing, although the pool and pond were not open yet, which is the only reason I have it a 8. We have stayed here before, and really like it, although all the golf cart drivers get crazy. We like going to the near by dirt track for neat car racing. Bethpage always has plenty of activities for the kid. Paved roads and level sites. We have taken our canoe, and gone fishing there. We will go there again!
My son had a great time here! There are plenty of shaded sites, and plenty of open sites. Stone roads were well maintained. They had a lot of kid friendly activities. Lazer tag, and crafts were fun. They have a double slide which was unique. Staffers very friendly and helpful. Reservation were accurate and reliable. We plan on coming back again.
This WILL be a very nice campground in the future. They are building it. The pool is not finsihed yet. The huge rec center is not finished yet. The sites are new and still being built. Endless caverns are right on site, and they give a discount for campers staying in campground. Very nioe quiet park. Would go again, when its finished. We had some electric dropouts which we fixed several times - right away. They had to get their electrician to re-wire the main junction box - which then fixed the problem. Very satisified with this campground and staff.
This campground is nice and shaded. I gave it a rating of 4 because of poor management and front office personnel that lie. We reserved a pull through site more than 30 days prior to our arrival and were assured a specific site. Upon arrival, to the point they escorted us to the site, we found somebody else there. We were told our reservation was not entered into the system. Our 2 options were a tough back in spot, or a full refund and we could leave. After taking the back in spot, I went and talked to the manager. Another staffer who did more talking than the "manager", then told me that the occupants in "our" spot extended their stay. This is wrong, they should have been told they could, but the site was taken, and they needed to move. My wife was also told, upon checkin (we thought about extending another day) that the site was not going to be taken for another several days - why didn't their system show it was already occupied?? So, we were told 3 different tales, which is right, we still don't know. Management's philosophy was take it or leave. What if there would have been no free sites for us? How would you like to drive all day, only to find out the reserved site you thought you had was already taken? I would NOT trust this campground's management - and I will NOT recomment this place to anyone else. VERY dissatisfied with Ramblin Pine. Will never come here again.
