Very nice park and well-maintained. Bath houses were spotless and lawns were kept manicured. This is a great park for families with kids. Lots to do, activities, mini golf, playground, pool and a lake to fish, etc. If you're there to visit the area be aware that everything is about a 30 minute drive away from the campground at a minimum. As others have stated the initial entry into the campground is horrendous. We arrived in a 40' motor home with a toad and pretty much blocked everything while I hurried to check us in to get through the gate! Bad set up. Our site was long and wide enough, we did hear the quarry somewhat during the week and the speedway over the weekend, but nothing real noticeable. We camped here to visit with relatives and that would be the only reason we return; just not our cup of tea.
This is a great campground, with the Passport discount you cannot beat it. It's clean, has full hook ups , and pull thrus. This is not the place to stay if you have kids and are looking for a family vacation. We stop here going in and out of Florida and it never disappoints. Yes, they have some rules, but get over it. We're not playing TBall and everyone doesn't get a trophy. Restrooms are spotless, satellite is IFFY, but they do provide Internet service. Great place to stopover from I75 and/or 10. Unfortunately, owners want to sell, so if they do I'm sure things will change.
This is a great looking campground which appears to be well maintained. I did not use the bathhouse facilities, but did go in to check them and they were absolutely spotless. Nice shower facilities with plenty of room. The site we had was plenty big for our 40 ft. rig and tow vehicle. All staff encountered we're friendly and eager to help. Nightly rate shows Passport discount. Included 50 amp service, water, sewage and cable. Each site has picnic table (in good shape) and fire ring. If you stay for any length of time be aware they only have 1 washer and dryer.
Love this park. Easy access for 40 ft. rig with tow. Nice sites, pool, staff and campers. Stayed here overnight last year and wanted to stay longer this time. Beautiful trees for shade, however they do not impede parking your rig! Lots of stuff for kids and adults alike. Convenient to grocery stores, restaurants and highways. Following GPS instructions we thought we were entering a housing plan. Keep going and you will be pleasantly surprised.
We only stayed here one night, but the campground was very nice. We were traveling on I-95 and it's easy on easy off. They truly take care of the place and it shows. They were adding more sites so I think they'll have closer to 70 sites soon. We camped here in a 40' RV w/ tow and did not have to unhook. Folks were friendly and the campground was clean. Full hook ups and the Wi-Fi worked great. We'd definitely stay here again.
This is our 2nd trip "out west" so we've been here before. This is a great campground with plenty of room for rigs and tows. I can't attest to the shower facilities, but I can say that the laundry(s) are immaculate and all have been in working order when I used them. The folks that run the place are great. Very friendly and willing to assist you any time you need them. The sites are nice and wide w/gravel. It's very convenient to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer, and other hot spots you want to hit on vacation. The price is right with the PPA card. Full hook ups, cable and Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi works as I'm on it now!
This is a great little park. We used it on the way back from Alaska; wish we would have used it on the way in! Front desk was very nice and explained what was available. Water and 30amp, plus excellent Wi-Fi. They do have cable but we were also able to pick up satellite. Did NOT have to disconnect. I would recommend this park over others in Whitehorse.
This is a great little park if you're working your way around Alaska. It's gravel, however we prefer it to the mud we've been experiencing. The sites are nice and wide, the hook ups all work and the laundry and restrooms are really clean. We were able to connect to satellite TV and the Wi-Fi they provide works fine. This is a great locale to travel to Kenai, Homer and Seward from here instead of moving. Nice folks at the desk, very informative.
We're on our way to Alaska. This is the worst park so far. We camp in a 40 foot motorhome. We are in the bottom (parking lot) row of this campground (which by the way is very tight if you have a big rig). Everyone in this lot seems to be having trouble with their electric hook ups; we're supposed to have 30 amp and most of us have 15 amp service. It's a little nippy here now and it would be nice to run the heater and not wake up to a dead battery. If 15 amp is all you have to offer that's fine, but don't charge me for 30 amp and then tell me that whatever I get is what the Yukon allows! The capital of the Yukon (Whitehorse) should be ashamed of this campground. If you're heading to Whitehorse roll on down the road further than Pioneer Park.
Very tidy, clean park. They were paving while we were here and the place looks great. Nice pull through spots: didn't have to disconnect our 40 footer from the tow. The internet connection was iffy, but that's the only thing we had a problem with. Great place, I'd recommend it on your way to Alaska!
We were here last year also with another couple who also had a large motorhome. This is a great little campground. The folks in the office are great. They can help you with directions, detours and what's going on in the town of Hardin. Plus they have ice cream socials! A great asset to their community. We had no problems entering, parking, etc., with our 40' rig and tow. Just stayed the night and didn't have to disconnect. I'd recommend this park.
