I was disappointed that the lake only had a small 'beach' area - the rest is rocks and the park is adjacent to the boat ramps. Quiet at night and the ranger presence was always there, although no-one ever checked us in or asked for our permit. Office was always closed. Very convenient to Provo - just a few miles down the road. As is usual for a state park - no sewer hookups but one is conveniently located at the entrance to the RV area. Was here 4 days which was probably just perfect. The dogs loved exploring the park area
I wish we had more time to spend here - stopped on the way north. Nice view of Pike's Peak from the site, very friendly and helpful staff getting us settled in. Overlooks the I-25 but you don't hear to traffic due to the abundant trees. Was here in the spring - may come back in the winter when there is snow. Site was sloped but that is what levelers are for and the view made up for it.
I want to move here! Great staff - always helpful. Had a problem with the water hose leaking and they gave me a new one. I needed a pull through and was across from the office, but was still quiet. So convenient to town and restaurants and all that Santa Fe has to offer. Can't think of a bad thing to say about Trailer Ranch - will probably plan another trip to Santa Fe just to stay here!
Very tranquil park with lots of trees (read poor satellite reception). Very dog friendly with acres of wooded area for them to explore and try to chase squirrels. Convenient to town and the I-17 to Phoenix. Fairly level sites and helpful office staff. Will stay here again.
