The only positive thing I can say about Liberty Harbor RV Park is that it has close and easy access to NYC. The negatives are many. The day we arrived I went to do laundry and only two of the five washers were working. That is very inconvenient when you have four loads. We have been here 5 nights and I wanted to do a load before we leave. There are now no washers working. Seems to me they could be more concerned about facilities for their guests. Most people I talked to, weren't aware there was no sewer hookup. For the price they charge there should be. Be prepared to move at their whim. It's like musical chairs here, they are constantly telling people to change spots. Have spoken to a few of the guests and there are lots of complaints about staff attitude and treatment. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Guess when you're the only game in town you can treat people poorly, charge lots and think its okay.
Cannot say enough good things about Pine Ridge Campground. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The campground itself is a little slice of heaven. The laundry is clean and although we didn't use the pool it looked so inviting. There are many amenities for kids big and small, fishing, games room, basketball, etc. With our travels in the area we stayed there on two occasions within a two week period and would highly recommend to anyone with a motorhome, 5th wheel, camper or tent to stay there if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed.
Excellent proximity to Williamsburg, friendly welcome and the facilities appeared to be good. Unfortunately, train tracks are located right next to the campgrounds and from midnight last night to 0800 this morning there were at the very least 8 different trains going by. The ground shakes and the noise is very loud. For us older folks who don't sleep well to start with this was a most unpleasant night. The previous night was just as bad. Also, cable was included but had very poor reception. We would not recommend this park.
