Very nice park away from any noise. Hosts are extremely pleasant and easily approachable for information about the area. Wi-Fi signal not too strong, but the Verizon signal is great if you have a hotspot. This park is very well kept and the office and all facilities look bright, airy, and brand new. We would definitely stay here again. Price is Passport America.
This place looks like it has been stuck in a time warp. There has been absolutely no updating in 20 years. Everything at the ranch costs extra and is VERY expensive. Sites are not even close to level and there was mus everywhere. There was TONS of noise from the adjacent interstate and train tracks. Wifi didn't work at all. A bad camping experience overall. Price is PA.
This park is along the highway that goes into Hot Springs and therefore can be noisy but not overbearing. The setting is beautiful with many sites adjacent to a warm water stream. There is a small playground for the kids and tubes are provided for fun in the stream. No sewer hookup available, but the is a dump station. No office or attendant, you just place your money into an envelope and slide it into a slot near the restrooms. We would stay here again.
This is not the most picturesque campground, but the hosts more than make up for it. Spaces are kind of close together and the driveway is narrow, but the sites can accommodate big rigs. Full hookups are available, as well as free Wi-Fi (close to the office) and free cable TV. The Friday night potlucks are a blast. They even purchased a birthday cake for our 1 year old son. Rate cited is with PA. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This place has an excellent setting, and would get a rating of '10' based on that alone, but the logistics of the RV park are not well thought out. Hook-ups at three of the sites are on the wrong side and hook-ups at the other two sites are located so that rigs need to be parked out in a car parking area. When we arrived, an RV in space 20 hooked up to space 19's utilities causing us in space 18 to have no hook-ups. We notified the staff, some of which were friendly and some not. The maintenance person told us that we were to share. We were even still charged for a full hook-up even though we were sharing. If the hook-ups were relocated this place would get a 9. We gave it a 5 for the redeeming quality of the mountain setting.
This is a former mobile home park. The park has lots of shade and level concrete pads to park on. The location is nice because it is next to the creek. However, the grounds could use some updating. I don't think anything has been updated here since it was first constructed 60 years ago. Price seemed a bit steep at $38. We were charged for four people even though we had only two adults and two children under two years old. Good Denver metro area location. Most people staying in the park are long-term residents.
This is basically a place to overnight, it is not a destination. Being a fairgrounds, the sites are meant to oblige 4H and rodeo campers who need to be near their livestock, but can be used by anyone where there are no events scheduled. There is an excellent park only a few hundred yards to the east, and good fishing in the lakes there. There is no shade and all RV's must use the dump station which is in the wrong location on the map given to you at check-in. Also, the woman who handles the bookings can be very cranky. A good place to park for us since we were visiting family nearby, and very inexpensive.
This park is located right along the Arkansas River, we even noticed a toy hauler with its rear deck actually extended out over the river giving that lucky camper one heck of a patio. There is plenty of shade and the sites are easily accessible.
Very shady campground located in the middle of Vernal. It is located on a busy street, but we didn't notice any noise since the sites a a few hundred yards off the street and behind buildings. The manager was very nice, but the sites are packed together. It is a mix between long and short term residents. The price was right.
