We stayed in the South side, which is very nice, but a bit neglected. There are grassy areas which are watered, but the dirt between sites on the south side sites is mostly unkempt weeds. The north side is not paved, but is pretty well kept. Sites are fairly large on both north and south sides. Friendliness of office staff varies depending on who is working at any particular time. WiFi is weak and spotty. Overall we were satisfied with this park and would stay here again.
This is a very nice, well maintained campground right in Cortez. Very convenient to Mesa Verde. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our pull through site was a good size and easy to get in and out. Cable TV worked well and WiFi was excellent. The only oddity was the semi-fenced dog yard, only fenced on two sides. We would stay here again if in the area.
This is a terrific RV park, either for an overnight or a longer stay. Fully paved, well maintained, long and wide sites. Friendly staff. Easy access from the interstate. What more can you ask? Wi-Fi and cable were iffy, and there are no picnic tables. We will certainly stay here again if in the area.
Great park for an inexpensive overnight. Sites are very long and fairly wide. The owner is friendly and helpful. This is strictly no frills- no wifi or cable here, but our site had 50 amp service and sewer. Easy on and off the highway. We will stay here again if passing through.
This review is specific to the River campground, which is the only one currently open. We have stayed at Pine Grove and were happy with the spaciousness and access to the sites. The River campground has a very narrow access road, and it was very difficult to maneuver our 35 foot motor home. Also, maintenance was lacking in that there were untrimmed branches that scraped the motor home when driving through the campground. We would stay here again, but only when Pine Grove is reopened.
Nice campground convenient to I-95 but far enough away that traffic noise is not a problem. People are nice, navigation within the park is easy and sites are good sized. Free W-Fi worked well as did cable TV. There is a clean fenced dog park. The only thing I found odd was the lack of breakers on the 50 amp pedestals. The breaker is inside a nearby shed, hardly obvious. The employee gladly showed me where it was, but if no one was around, it could be a problem. We would certainly stay here again on the NJ to Florida run.
This is a nice campground with a great location for visiting Cade's Cove. Site are pretty large and level. Free Wi-Fi and cable work well. Interior roads can be tight for a big rig, and branches scraped my motorhome on the way out. The bigger problem with this campground is the access over a single lane bridge with a 3 ton limit. My RV weighs 11 tons and big diesels can weigh more. I would not stay here again because of the bridge. It is a nice place for tents, pop-ups, and cabins.
This is a fairly small, clean, well maintained campground with very friendly owners. Access from the interstate is easy, as is navigation within the park. The roads and sites are all level gravel. Wi-Fi works well as does the cable TV. Hookups are toward the rear of the sites and are in good shape. The park is near the highway, so road noise may be a problem is you are sensitive to noise. Train noise is also sometimes heard. I would rate this place higher, but the pull through sites are too close together. We would stay here again if passing through.
This is an excellent campground, convenient to the interstate but far enough away so there is no road noise. Our site was right across from the office, and access was easy. The site was very long and wide. I can see how other reviewers had different experiences with sites in the back. The free Wi-Fi worked very well. The high point for us is the huge fenced dog park. This well maintained area is the largest we have seen in our travels. I would definitely stay here again.
This is a well maintained campground well suited for an overnight stay. Sites are on the small size, but not to excess. Cable and Wi-Fi work well. On the other hand, this is definitely not a dog friendly park. There is a very small dog area in the back near the dumpsters that is also where they keep junk and dirt. This area is fenced on three sides. There appears to be no maintenance in this area. We walked our dog on some gravel near the road and someone came out of the office to see if we were allowing our dog to do his duty out there. We would stay here again overnight if passing through.
This is a really nice, well kept campground. The sites vary in size, but most are quite large. The campground is wooded, but interior roads are good and navigation within the park is easy. The owners are very nice and helpful. I would rate it a 10 except for a few things. Electric is limited to 30 amps. There is no cable TV and digital reception is very limited. We could get Wi-Fi at our site but it was very slow. If cable TV and Wi-Fi are not important to you, then this is a nearly perfect place.
This is a typical KOA, but much too expensive for what you get. We paid $48 after the KOA discount, for a 30 amp water/electricity site that was way out of level. We asked to switch sites, but all of the sites we were shown were just as unlevel. The sites were adequate in size, but nothing special. The cable TV worked OK as did the free Wi-Fi. We would try to find another place to stay if passing through, but the selection in this area is pretty sparse.
This is a beautiful, well maintained park. We had one of the super sites in the back of the park and were very pleased with the size and layout of the site. I would give it a higher rating, but the Wi-Fi was so slow as to be unusable for all practical purposes.
This park is one of a meager selection in this area. We were assigned a site in the back, where it appeared that most, if not all, of the sites were very unlevel. The sites towards the front of the park were much more level, but shorter. We asked if we could get another site, but they told us nothing level was available. The did assist us in putting blocks under the rear wheels, which were both way off the ground without the blocks. There is no cable TV. The Wi-Fi worked OK. For the amount of money they charge, they should spend some money leveling the sites and install cable TV. I would only return here if this was all that was available in the area.
This campground is perfect for an overnight stay while traveling on I-95. The guy in the office was very friendly. The sites are level and long enough for our 35 foot motorhome and dinghy without unhooking. There is a large fenced dog yard. Access from the interstate is good, but it is far enough from the highway so there is no traffic noise. Wifi is free and works great. The only negative is the lack of cable TV. Antenna reception is very marginal with only a few fuzzy stations available. We would definitely stay here again when traveling to and from Florida.
We used this park for an overnight stay on a very rainy day. The park was a muddy mess, with potholes in the roads and all of the sites in various states of flooding. The flip side is that the sites are very long, there is a fenced dog yard, and the free wifi worked OK. It has easy access to the interstate and navigation within the park is easy. We were unable to get a site with cable TV, and antenna access through a digital converter was acceptable. We would stay here again, but only on a dry day.
This is no doubt one of the best parks anywhere. The park is beautiful and immaculately maintained. Streets are wide and paved, sites are about 50X100 feet, paved and landscaped. Our site was a pull in right on a lake so we had a view out the windshield. The people were very friendly, not caring whether we were renters or owners. There are activities galore here or you can just hang out and fish in one of the lakes. I agree with the other reviewers that the location is a drawback. It is about 20 minutes from the interstate and about 30-45 minutes from shopping and restaurants. The closest beach is probably Sanibel, which is over an hour away. We would certainly return her. The rate is based on the monthly rate.
This is an attractive, well maintained city park. Sites vary widely from narrow to huge. Our site was large and backed up on a lake. There is no cable or Wi-Fi. There is a small airport next door, so the noise from the planes can be annoying if you are a light sleeper. Overall, we had a very good experience here. The price is certainly attractive for this part of south Florida. We would stay here again.
This is a very good park for an overnight stay while traveling on I-95. The sites are good sized, but the access roads are a little narrow. The park is easy to access from the highway. As such, there is some highway noise depending on where the specific site is. Cable TV was good and included Starz service. Wi-Fi is free and works well. We will stay here again when traveling on I-95.
This park is right off the highway, but noise isn't bad. Access is good and sites are long and wide. The price includes excellent cable TV and Wi-Fi. We were near the office and the signal was usable but weak. I didn't see any other antennas, so if Wi-Fi is important let them know at check in. There are some permanent residents with junkie sites. Not fancy, but it is good for overnight stay. There is free coffee, muffins, and newspapers in the morning. We would stay here again.
This park is strictly no frills but good for an overnight stop. It is fairly close to the highway but far enough away so there is no noise. The park is in front of an old run down motel. Streets are wide and sites are long and wide. The entire park is gravel. The price includes cable TV that was fair and Wi-Fi that worked well at our site. We would stay here again.
This is a very nice park, located about 3 miles from I-40, so road noise isn't a problem. People are friendly and the sites are nice and wide. The park is maintained very well. Access from the road and within the park is very good. There is a huge dog walk as well as a pet wash. The only reason I don't give it a perfect 10 is that the WiFi is expensive and occasionally slows down to a crawl. Also there is no cable TV. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a good park in a very good location. Sites are somewhat tight, and the side by side hookups mean that you are facing your neighbor. Roads are wide and sites are level. Walking distance to the adjacent casino is a strong plus. The Las Vegas strip is about 15-20 minutes away by car. WiFi is expensive but works OK. Cable TV worked fair but included HBO. We would stay here again if in the area.
This is a great park in an urban setting. The park is new with concrete pads for the RV and tow/towed vehicle and grass between sites. Spacing between sites is good as is access. Maintenance is excellent throughout. People are friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi works well. The only negatives to this park are the occasional sewage smell from a nearby water treatment plant and traffic noise from the interstate. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
This park is perfect for an overnight stay. It is convenient to the interstate, but without the traffic noise. The people are very friendly, sites are easy to access and adequate in size. The park is clean and well maintained. Cable works well and the Wi-Fi is among the best we have seen in our travels. We would definitely stay here again if passing through.
This is a huge park convenient to the Black Hills attractions. The park is in a beautiful setting, with deer all over the place in the early morning. Sites are huge, well maintained, and easy to access. The only negative comment I have is that the Wi-Fi was not reliable. I would stay here again if I was in the area.
This park is well located south of Hill City and convenient to the local attractions. The site we were assigned was so close to the next site that I stepped on their sewer when I exited my coach. There were empty sites on the same row, so I have no idea why they used adjacent sites. Most of the sites are very narrow. Cable TV was OK, but Wi-Fi was unusable. I would pick another park if I was in the area again.
This is a great park in a convenient location right off the interstate. Access into and within the park is extremely good. Sites are huge and well manicured. Wi-Fi is free and works well. People are super friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in a minute.
This campground is close to the interstate and easy to navigate. The sites are wide and fairly level. Maintenance is lacking, especially the untrimmed tree limbs hitting the motorhome wherever you go. There is no Wi-Fi or cable, notable in that the antenna reception in the area is only fair. We would pick another park if in the area again.
This is a pretty good campground for an overnight stop when traveling on I-74. It is about a mile off the interstate and easy to find. Navigation within the campground is fairly easy but the roads are somewhat narrow. Our site was level but some others appeared to be not level. The people were friendly, Wi-Fi works OK and cable is good with plenty of channels. Sites are all pull throughs, long, and of adequate width. We would stay here again.
This is the way all RV parks should be. Easy access to I-95. Easy access to the nice big sites. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly folks. Cable and WiFi are free and work great. We would definitely stay here again.
This park is convenient to the I-95 but there is no road noise. The park is rustic with dirt roads and sites. It was raining when we were there and everything was muddy. The sites are a good size, the people are friendly, and they have pizza available to be delivered to the site. We would not return because of the lack of gravel or paved roads.
This is a very friendly, beautifully landscaped campground with easy access into and from within the park. Sites are large and paved. They have just completed the pool, which appears quite nice but is not yet open. The park is located on a main road, so there is quite a bit of road noise, especially on the row closest to the street. The wifi was flaky, cutting out a few times each day. The technical support person tried to help but could not fix the problem.
This park really has it all. The location 20 miles north of Key West is terrific. The sites vary in size from pretty good, to tight, depending on the location. There are some waterfront sites that are tight, but we had plenty of room where we were. The park is very dog friendly including a fenced exercise area. The people are friendly. There is a marina with variety of activities. There is a bar right on site with daily activities. Wifi is available at a charge, but it works very well. Cable TV works well. We will stay here again if we are ever in the Keys.
This is a nice park in a part of Florida that can be very expensive. The sites are all back-in, but very easy to navigate and good size. The people at the park couldn't be friendlier. There are some things to do here, but we just stayed for a couple of days and didn't do much in the park. We would stay here again.
This park is a good choice for an overnight stay while traveling on I-95. The streets are a little narrow, but the pull through sites are fairly manageable. The people are very friendly. The Wifi is free but not reliable, cutting in and out. We would stay here again.
This park is perfect for an overnight stop off of I-95. It is very easy in and out, the sites are a nice size, and the place is generally maintained well. The rating is due to the lack of cable TV and Wifi. We would stay here again.
We used this park as an overnight stop while traveling on I-95. It is a few miles from I-95 over decent roads. The park is very nicely laid out and maintained. However, the site we were assigned was so far out of level that the front wheels on the motorhome were completely off the ground. Because the park is so nice, I might give them one more try to see if we just got a bad site.
This is a great park, very convenient to the interstate but within walking distance from the French Quarter. The people are very nice and helpful, willing to drive you part of the way to the French Quarter in a golf cart and pick you up later. The weather was bad when we were here, but the pool area looked really nice. All sites are very wide back-ins with nice pavers and some grass. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a nice, well kept campground with lots of trees. The roads are a little narrow, but not so much as to pose a problem. The sites are long enough, but very narrow and close together. We reserved a 50 amp site, but when we arrived I found out that there is no Wi-Fi coverage in the 50 amp area, so we changed to a 30 amp site. Considering the high prices here, I was disappointed. I would not stay here again unless there was nothing else available in the area.
This campground is right on the beach, with premium sites $5 extra, on the first row closest to the beach. The sites are nice and big and easy to back into. Free WiFi is available, although it blocked one of our favorite online game sites. The lack of sewer hookups keeps me from rating it higher. We would stay here again.
Lovely park with lots of landscaping. Navigation is a little tight and the spaces are close together. WiFi is $3 extra per night. The people are nice and the place is very clean. There is a fenced dog run and everyone seemed to enjoy the small deer herd that roams the ground. We would stay here again.
This is a very basic campground with mostly permanent campers and some overnighters. The sites are large and easy to access, but that is about it. Cable is $2 extra and ours did not work well. The $13 price is for a 50 amp site. A 30 amp site is $10.
This is a beautiful park with huge, level sites and friendly people. Clean, well maintained, free and strong WiFi are all positives. The only negative about this park is the location about 15 miles north of Carlsbad. It is about an hour from the visitor center to Carlsbad Caverns and a long drive from any restaurants or stores. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a very well kept, modern park with friendly management. Sites are large, level, and easy to access. There are picnic tables, but most were warped. WiFi is good but expensive at $4.95 per day. There is no cable TV. Location is good, right near the interstate and not far from Albuquerque. I would stay here again.
This is a great campground for an overnight stay. Navigation in the park is very easy, the sites are large and level, and cable and good WiFi are free. Picnic tables would be nice. We would stay here again if passing through.
This is a good place to stay when visiting Dodge City. Entry and exit are easy. We stayed in the back part of the park in one of the very large pull through sites. Manager was very friendly and we got no lecture when we arrived. I did not notice any smell at all. We could not receive wi-fi at our spot in the back even though I have an excellent external antenna that rarely fails me. I would stay here again.
Great place for an overnight stop. Very close to the interstate and easy in-out once you arrive. Sites are large, park is clean, and people are very friendly. Good wi-fi but cable TV would have been appreciated since TV reception with the bat wing antenna was just about non-existent. We would stay here again if we were passing through.
This is a nice park convenient to the interstate but far enough away that traffic noise is not a problem. Sites are pretty large and easy to access. People are friendly and upkeep is good. Wi-Fi and cable both work well. I would stay here again
This is a good place for an overnight stay. The park is close to the interstate, the staff is friendly, the sites are easy to navigate and level. The park is clean and has enough trees to give some shade, but not enough to cause a problem with driving. Cable TV works OK, but wi-fi disappeared after 10:00 during our stay. We would stay here again.
This park is a decent place for an overnight stay. It is convenient to the interstate and easy to navigate within the park. It is possible to pull in and out without ever disconnecting the dinghy from the motorhome. We stayed in the more expensive section, where the sites are a good size. The older section looked like the sites were smaller and probably not big enough for our motor home. There is cable TV, but no wi-fi. We would stay here again overnight if we were passing through.
This is a huge park located very close to the Grand Ole Opry and convenient to the interstate. The sites are a little close together, but the park is easy to navigate. The people are very friendly and helpful. This is a very dog friendly park, with two fenced in dog pens complete with exercise equipment. There is free wi-fi that works OK. There is no cable TV, but the antenna reception is acceptable. We would stay here again.
This is a great park, very convenient to the Cades Cove section of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Sites are a little close together, but acceptable. The park has a nice country feel to it, with plenty of trees. People, both staff and other campers are very friendly. We don't have small children, but the place seems kid friendly. Lots of kids playing in the playground having fun. Cable works well, free WiFi is OK. We would definitely stay here again.
This park is very good for an overnight stop, but I wouldn't stay here longer. The place is immaculate, close to the interstate, and the spaces are easy to access. However, this is pretty much a parking lot with hookups. There are no picnic tables and the spaces are small, so most people stay inside their RVs all the time, minimizing interaction with other campers. The WiFi works OK, but there is no cable TV. Good value. I would stay again for an overnight.
This is a very nice campground located conveniently off the interstate. The sites are long enough but pretty narrow. The people are very nice, can't do enough for you. Cable works OK and free WiFi is slow but acceptable. One of the nicest features of this park is the huge fenced dog area. We would stay here again.
This park consists of some RV sites next to a RV parts store. It is convenient to I-81, the sites are a good size, and they have full hookup pull through sites including cable TV that works well. The sites are level gravel and grass. There is no WiFi at the park, but we were able to pick up an unsecured weak signal that was adequate. I would recommend this park for an overnight stay only since it is pretty bare bones. We were here following a rainstorm and the park was very muddy. We will stay here again as an overnight stop.
When we first drove into this park, we got a positive impression. It's clean and nicely wooded. However, when we got to the site (one of the pull throughs near the office), it was barely big enough to squeeze our motorhome into. Once extended, our slide was about 6 inches from the neighbor's slide. One of the wheels is completely off the ground after leveling. The neighbor on the other side is facing the opposite direction so we had to share a picnic table. I would not stay here again if there was a decent alternative.
Rustic but clean park full of trees. Many fairly large pull through sites, paved in dirt or gravel. Our site was fairly level but others looked like they may not be level. Cable and Wi-Fi worked OK People are very friendly and helpful. Woman took us to the site and made sure that everything was OK before leaving. I would stay here again.
This is an adequate overnight park convenient to the interstate, shopping, and restaurants. The sites are fairly easy to access pull throughs. The park is lacking in some areas, however. The cable TV didn't work well. There is no Wi-Fi. Most of the sites don't even have a picnic table. If you are passing through, this park is OK. I would not stay here more than one night.
This is a beautiful destination type park with its own golf course. The sites are paved and very long. Streets are wide and access is extremely easy throughout. The location is between Ocala and Gainesville, so there isn't much to do in the area. We only stayed 2 nights so I can't comment on the activities here. I would have rated this park a 10 except the free WiFi signal at our site was weak and cut in and out. I would definitely stay here again.
This park has a combination of strengths and weaknesses that makes it hard to give a numerical rating. On the positive side the location is terrific, right on the road leading to the Fort Myers Beaches. Sanibel Island is also very easy to visit from this park. The park is right on the water, so there are pelicans and other birds to see here. The people staying here were mostly seasonal, very friendly, and largely over 70. The free Wi-Fi worked very well. On the negative side, the sites are extremely close together and really difficult to get into. The whole place is claustrophobic. Some of the waterfront sites are a little bigger, but some sites are like being parked by the side of the road. I don't think we would stay there again.
This park is very conveniently located right off of I-95. It would be a great place for an overnight stay except that I have seen no pull through sites. The sites are a decent size, pretty much standard KOA. There are many permanent residents. Some of these units are in very poor shape. However, the permanent residents are generally located separately from the transients. There is strong wifi throughout the park.
I have mixed feelings about this park. It is clean and conveniently located. There is a lake in the park with lots of birds, making for an attractive setting. The sites are typical KOA size. However the site we were assigned to was on the end of a row with no room for a picnic table. We asked to move but they were full. There is wifi throughout the park, but the connection was so flaky as to be next to useless. When we complained to the office, we were treated poorly.
This park is in a decent location but has many things going against it. The streets are tight and the sites are very narrow. We were unable to open our slide without hitting the neighbor's awning until we moved the motorhome. The cable TV signal was poor, there is no wifi, and there is no cell phone coverage from Cingular.
This is an excellent park for an overnight stay, very close to I-95. The owners are very friendly and take you to the site upon arrival. Wifi is free and strong, cable TV worked OK. The campground is very clean, the sites easy to access, and level.
We are here only for an overnight stop in the dead of winter, but this is a really nice campground. Heavily treed and quiet, it looks like it would be a great place to stay if you want to see the sights in the area.
This a very large, clean park located conveniently to the interstates. There is a bus stop right across the street to take you to the downtown area. Our site had cable TV, but I heard others say that the cable sites are few and far between. There is wi-fi available at the sites, but it was very flaky, cutting out every so often. Also, it appears that they block AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) and some other sites. We were in a pull through site, but it faced the opposite direction from the adjacent site, so our motorhomes were facing each other.
This park has a great combination of location and layout/amenities. It is located very close to I-10, maybe a half mile away on a main road. The people are super nice, and the park itself is full of pecan trees and plenty of grass considering the dry location. It sits right on a river with easy access. The sites are long and adequately wide. We had cable TV and good free Wi-fi at our site.
This park is located in Marathon, one of the gateway towns to Big Bend National Park. The park is a dusty lot behind the motel, which sounds bad but really isn't. The sites are quite large and wide. The motel has been renovated to a 1940s retro chic. They have terrific common areas accessible to motel and RV guests. On certain mornings they have great breakfast burritos in an outdoor cafe for very reasonable prices. Wifi is free and works OK. Cable is free and includes HBO, Showtime, and Cinemax. So why the rating of 7? Trains. The train tracks are really close and the whistles go on all night. I told the people in the office and they gave me ear plugs for no charge. They do help, but the trains seem to never stop.
This is a really nice park located on top of a hill. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some of the special "view sites" give you a great view out the front window of the motorhome. It is very conveniently located to Las Cruces, Old Mesilla, and local attractions. The only reason I don't give this a better rating is that they advertise free Wifi, but the free internet is only available in or near the office. Tengo is offered for a reasonable fee and works well, but I feel that they should advertise the Wifi accurately.
This park is extremely close to the I-40 exit, so most of the people here are making an overnight stop. This park is fine for that purpose, as most of the sites are long pull throughs. Most people stayed hitched throughout the night and left in the morning. Wi-Fi is advertised as free, but you only get one hour for free. A 24 hour card is $3.50. It did work well, and we were parked at the very back of the park. The spaces are very narrow and close together. The biggest negative is the park layout. It is kind of a parking lot with hookups. For a long stay, I would have preferred a park with a nicer layout, along with some landscaping.
We stayed here for six nights and found it to be very good for a stay of that length. Convenient to both I-25 and Santa Fe, friendly people, and clean. Wifi signal was very strong in our site, D-1. I think the transmitter was in the game room next door. The Wifi went down twice during our stay, but they restarted it right away when I told them. The reason I only rated this site as an 8 is the narrow sites. We were on the big rig row. The sites are long enough but right next to each other.
This park is very easy to get to from I-40 for an overnight stay. The sites are a decent size and easy to get in and out of. Free cable and internet, but we have 2 laptops that were both unable to connect. If noise is a problem, this is not the place to stay. Proximity to the local Air Force Base makes for a noisy stay. Overall, OK for an overnight stay if you are heavy sleepers.
This park is extremely easy to get to from I-70, although the short access road is narrow and dusty. The park is in the middle of a cornfield, but it is very nice and clean. The cornfields actually give a nice feeling to the park. This park is perfect for an overnight stop if you are traveling on I-70. Hookups are in good shape. Wireless internet (free) worked fine the first time with no problems. People are friendly, owner drives you to the site in a golf cart and makes sure you are OK.
This is a very nice park: big, clean, and friendly. One nice thing is the pet-friendliness of this park. Upon arrival, we were asked if we had a dog. In many places, this is a negative question, but here they give you dog treats and waste bags at check in. Even better, there is a good size lake with a walking path around it where pets are welcome. Sites are a good size, but not always level. Wireless internet is only available in or near the office. We liked the park so much that we booked it on our return trip.
This park is convenient from I-70 in either direction. We used it for a one night stopover, and it works very well for that. The park is very small, basically a parking lot with hookups. The people are friendly and helpful, and the site we used allowed us to pull in and out without unhooking our dinghy. The park is kept clean. Many of the sites have no picnic tables. This is a pretty basic RV park, but considering the location, I recommend it for short stays.
