It was fine for an overnight, would never stay longer. The mini golf was free for us and worked out well while I did a load of laundry. Don't get too excited, the greens are falling apart. There were a bunch of men hanging around outside of the laundry, harmless, but drinking beer and smoking. It's a gravel parking lot, but if you need off the road for a night, it works.
This really was a nice campground, very clean and friendly staff. The nice big grass area and playground were exactly what my kids needed. We actually skipped out on a day of touring the park because the kids were having fun and needed some downtime. I agree with a previous review, the wifi was insulting. If you have a "premium" site you get the wifi for free, however all sites were pricey and to pay additional irritated me. If we are ever back in West Yellowstone, I think we might try to find a place that is more "campy", if you know what I mean. This was more of an RV resort.
We were most excited about this campground on our 6 week vacation this past summer. Boy, were were disappointed! I paid extra for a river view site, which was very close to the river and my kids and dog loved playing in it, however they do not disclose that there is a sawmill on the other side of the river that ran the entire time we stayed there. It was loud! Perhaps it's not as noticeable from other sites, but we were right there. The campsites are stacked in, nothing special, nothing new. We also rented a boat, best price on the lake for a reason. It was a piece of junk, dirty and old. We will find somewhere else to stay on our next trip through Idaho.
