If you have a tent trailer...beware. A nice, shaded park but not family friendly and the rules are very restrictive. "Any RV 10 years old or older must be approved by the Manager, prior to stay". Really?!? They have an undocumented "no tent trailer" rule which they highlighted at checkout. (we did not misbehave to cause this....). Pets are welcome.
A great find in a park near the freeway. Location was far enough from the road and the railroad to be decently quiet. Friendly staff and clean restrooms. Large showers with long benches to make dressing easy. Free donuts and coffee in the office in the morning. Lodge building for day and evening TV viewing or relaxing. Tiny but well-stocked store area. Two computers with printer for guest use. Wifi in park worked well. Did not try TV hookup or water. Shaded swimming pool. Large gravel sites with some shade trees.
We pulled in late and were happy to find this nice campground. There were some pull-through sites available but we chose a 'back in' for our small tent trailer. The bathrooms were clean. We left early in the morning so we didn't check out the facility.
The staff took genuine pride in the facility, and it looked like they had a very complete KOA. They sold fresh cooked pizza and various types of ice cream in the store. Many camping cabins had a large concreted back area with a patio table and chairs which we have not seen at other campsites. My only complaint was the proximity to the highway which is understandable considering the late hour that we called and that we got one of the last campsites.
Our late night arrival was handled well. One staff member checked on us during setup. The stay more than met our expectations for an overnight stay along the highway. They had an excellent common area including a nice pool, large laundry area, nice store/office, and a nice reading material sharing area.
We had no restroom access as we arrived after 7pm and there was no provision to provide a key despite having made a prior reservation. This taught us to call each park earlier in the day. There was no hot water in the men's bathroom for the week according to one fellow camper. It's been a long time since I took a cold shower... The office staff stated their policies and procedures, and offered no sympathies, when I told them that I almost left at 11pm when I discovered the locked bathroom after dropping off our camper and going out to dinner. Very poor customer service to this overnight/transient camper.
