Again another KOA with low hanging tree branches. It is beyond me why KOA owners will not make an attempt to trim trees. We have a big rig with items on the roof I don't want to have damaged. KOA….enjoy all your trees, I hope they will help pay the bills.
For the priced charged for these concrete pads you would think there would be peace and quiet. Not so, work trucks starting at 8:am and it goes on all day long. Parking of our toad was always a problem as most site owners just park anyplace they want. Golf carts everywhere and at night most run without lights at high speed day or night. Our next store neighbor had contracted to have spray painting done on his site. The application was a clear coat chip protector to the front of a car. That's right it was sprayed on site in the middle of the day. The problem became worse as our dog was locked inside the coach with the A/C on, thus fumes were sucked inside the coach. It was only luck we returned from shopping and rescued our dog.I flagged down a security guard while spraying continued and his response was "I'll report it". In my opinion....overpriced, poorly run without any enforcement of basic safety rules.
Excellent RV park with Emily's restaurant, Knife River Candy, just across street from Emily's, Russ Kendahl's smoke fish shop, Knife River marina, and public beach access to Lake Superior. All above is with-in walking of RV park. Owner is hands on, most of the day in his office. Always to help and friendly. Four spots are 50 amp full hock up. You would be wise to call ahead. We stayed for 2 weeks and the 50 amp were taken every night. Some traffic in the area but well off the main highway to the north shore. Quiet at night. We will stay here again.
One of the best Casino RV parks around. Park has wide sites and lots of room to move a big rig 45 with toad. Signup for players card will get you $10 bucks comp play and special price on buffet for 2. Very clean, shuttle to casino, quiet, small RV supplies store if you need basic item. A repeat hands down.
Great off the I-44 Interstate park. Easy to find, all level wide sites with 50 amp. You can drive to any of the 10 sites without disconnecting the toad. Quiet and there are lots of cows to watch while you have the morning coffee. Staff told us to take any site if we arrived after 6:00 pm. and to stop by office in the morning. Big Rig friendly and very clean small park. Price is also very reasonable.
For a overnight it works as the pull throughs #'s 21, 22, 23, & 24 are easy for 45 footer with toad. The park has seen better days. Walking a short distance for Mex or BBQ. Power good and no tree issues in above sites.
Easy access from Interstate, large sign with RV info . Our motorhome is a 45 footer and sites are around 60 ft. We did not unhook toad so we used all of 60 ft. We were just there overnight, but were treated like royalty. Dinner in steak restaurant was excellent, quality, service, price. Visited their casino after dinner and happy to say we left with some of their money. Doesn't get much better then that.
A little problem if you don't arrive by 4:00 as they close. There are instructions posted to let you park and they will do the paper work in the morning. Lots of room to move around with a big rig (45 ft). As they have many events during the year you stand a good chance to attend what might be going on. We had a horse show and a old car display. The entire RV park is fenced in with 24/7 security. 3 miles off I-44 easy to get to with motorhome and toad.
Easy access from Interstate with very wide parking area for check in. Very clean and well maintained park. All gravel sites with some trees which are trimmed and not a problem. Very wide paths to your site and easy to get parked with 45 footer. Hook ups are where they should be. Stayed two days and did hear one airplane fly over. Sounded like a single engine small plane. I never heard any train noise. Very quiet park in my opinion. Has gated dog walk area in back of park and with all those dog smells business was quick for the schnauzer. Would stay here again.
After driving in rain most of the day, we were tired. Easy fast check in and assured me no problem with a big rig pull though site. No problem driving in campground with wide gravel lanes. Here is the best in customer service as the owner insisted on escort to our site. It was pouring down rain and windy. Didn't want us to get lost. Offered a flier where pizza can be delivered to my site, if we wanted. Very friendly, good Wi-Fi.
Big rig friendly, newer park with good electric and strong wi-fi. All gravel sites; friendly staff. This park was rebuilt after a major storm and lots of money was spent. Spotless laundry, game/TV room. On the waters edge you have docks, and seating areas on the water front. We stayed a week and enjoyed the easy access. You can walk to the local cafe called The Wreak if you arrive late and not in the mood to cook. We did a movie one night at the local (5 miles south). Would stay here again. No tree issues.
