This was a very nice place to stop. We were greeted kindly by the staff. Sites were neat and the campground was very quiet. It appeared that the new managment was trying to improve things. We noticed several sites that were being repaired with new pads. Again, the site that we had was not level, so we had to shim one set of wheels. We were here after a big rainstorm, but only a small amount of water was on our site and offered no problem. Shuttle service to the casino was on demand and only a phone call away-nice. We would stop here again. I noticed as we left that the sites were nearly full here for the weekend. Wifi was available and free.
This campground badly needs some management that are rv people. We had comp rooms for two nights, and the office help forgot to ask us for them, and when we checked out we had a hard time collecting our comps. When we tried to enter the gate to the campground, it came down while we were in it and broke the gate and marked our trailer. The rv park recreation building was very nice, but not welcoming. The building was almost dark and appeared to be not in use. Shuttle service to the casino was only hourly both ways so it took two hours to go over and come back. Internet service was available, but cost 11.95 per day to use the casino web site that used to be free. The grounds needed mowing. Overall I would not stay here again. We didn't feel welcome.
We stopped her twice in may 2008. Both times the staff were friendly and helpful. We had to ask directions to several locations. This is apparently an old koa campground, but now independent. The roads were paved, but tight for a big rig. The sites were gravel and could use some work as both times they were unlevel and we had to shim up the wheels, however they were not dirty or muddy. We would stop here again. It was quiet and had easy access to the freeway, but not no road noise. There was a train track but it was far enough away so as not to be a problem.
We stopped here twice in May. Both times the campground was neat and orderly. Sites were level. Campground was quiet. The personnel were friendly. Overall I would have rate this park very highly. The one negative is that there are no sewer connections. We will definitely stop here again on our trips through this area. A couple of cautions. Come prepared to eat in your camp site as there are no restaurants nearby. If your rig is more than 12 ft 10 in high ask for an alternate entry route as there is a railroad underpass that is 12 ft 10 in. high.
While we were here the site was very full of long term rentals. The facilities were in excellent shape. The restrooms were always clean. The pool was open, heated and well used. The staff was more than helpful. This is the first time we have had a welcome lady come to the trailer after we were set up and give us information on the site and the facilities in Naples. This site is definitely geared to adults at this time of the year, but there are things for children to do. Wi-fi was available and free, but it was spotty reception at the site we were in. There are many things to see and do in the area. Only reasons for the low rating were that the sites were small, crowded and hard to get into and out of. We had to ask the neighbors to move their cars so we could leave. If you were looking for a place for several months it would be nice, except for the crowding.
This campground is more slanted to adults. The many long term campers that are here are all older people and the activities were slanted toward them. The campground is quiet, and generally well maintained. We didn't use the restrooms or shower, but many others did every day. The pool was not open while we were there. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were there for a week. The close proximity to Tampa allowed for easy visits to town. When we were there the state fair was at the fairgrounds just at the intersection of I-75 and I-4. The sites were fairly large, however the many large trees made them seem smaller and in some cases, hard to get into. WiFi service was available at an extra price. In the site where I was, it was easily accessed, available and fast. Not a site that I would use again, except as a last resort.
This campground is a good overnight stop on the way south. The personal were friendly. They escorted me to my site and waited to see if I need assistance to hook up. In general the facilities were adequate, but not anything special. The ground cover was gravel mixed with dirt. Even so, they were better than last year when we stayed here. The campground was quiet except or some road noise from n adjacent rod early in the evening. Although I didn't use the showers or restrooms, they seemed to be in satisfactory condition. One problem if you have children, there didn't seem to be much to keep them entertained here, although it is close to Savannah, where there is a lot to see and do.
This campground is now Hollywood Casino. We stayed here six nights while visiting in the area. This was one of the best campgrounds that we have stayed in. Everything was neat and clean. The sites were well maintained. ( refurbished after the hurricane last year). The staff were very professional and helpful. 24 hour security patrol was on site and 24 hour bus service to the casino, about every 15 minutes. The only negative I had was that I had to go into town it an internet cafe to get on line, but the staff told me exactly where to find the cafe. We will stay her again when we are in the area.
We were satisfied with this park. It was as advertised and even better. The owner and staff were very friendly. We stopped here on our way back from Navarre beach Fl. A flat tire on our SUV and some other minor problems caused us to ask to stay over another day. The owner was very pleasant and helpful. We had a pull-through site , not too far from the road, but the traffic noise did not bother both days. The park was very neat and clean appearing. The permanent sites were segregated in another part of the campground, and the long term sites seemed to be in a separate section away from the transit area. We would stay here again if we are in the area.
We camped here overnight on way south. The office area seemed in disarray and in need of cleanup. There were a lot of semipermanent campers in the old area of the park. We had requested a pull thru since we were only staying one night. We were put in the new area of the park. Area need grass cutting and sites had a lot of dirt. The whole area seemed as though it had been recently cleared. Some of the campers in this area were long term. They seemed to be construction workers. When we were shown to our site, there was a large fire ant hill just where our steps were situated. Upon request camp worker put out bait for them, Then when i was hooking up my water , I noticed that the site next to us had a very active ant hill in the water facet area. If you had tried to hook to it you surely would have been bitten. I can't comment on the pool because it was closed for the season and had a tarp covering it. We didn't use the rest rooms, so i cant comment on them. Overall we were not satisfied with the condition of the campground and will not stay here again unless it is an emergency.
This campground was a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a campground along i95 that we could stop at on the way back and forth from florida. The campground is close to the interstate, but we requested a spot in the back of the campground and noise was not a problem. The spots were large and long as advertised, and had a lot of shade trees, with grass and dirt pull-throughs. The only thing that was not good was that the site that we had was not level and we had to shim under one side of the trailer, not a big problem, just a nuisance. It is a good overnight spot and we will use it again later this year.
This campground was near the interstate, but traffic was not a problem for noise. Biggest problem was the congestion when Bush visited the Georgia State fairground while we were there. Held up traffic for several hours during his visit. The campground seemed to be neat and well maintained. Talked to the owner on several occasions and he was most helpful. All of the other campers here were very friendly, and the campground was quiet at night. Sites were grass and dirt, but did not seem to be dusty or track in dirt. Overall a very nice campground. We will stay here again if we are in the area.
Campground backs up to the sound and has a small beach attached. Nice. All the sites have paved parking and a gravel spot to park your toad. This campground is well worth the price, very neat and clean and quiet. Staff was helpful with directions and suggestions about eating places. There were some long term campers, but all were neat and were no problem. The ocean beach areas across the sound are still recovering from a storm in 2004, but restaurants were open and beach was open. This is a nice vacation spot to spend several days. We would stay here again.
Nice campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful in showing us our site. Almost all of the sites were pull-through and paved. For a municipal campground this was a nice surprise. It was quiet, clean and very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone.
We stayed there twice during August 2006. Both times we had a nice lake site. The first time with patio overlooking the lake. The second time just overlooking the lake. Wi-fi was very good and free with the site. The only negative was that it rained really hard the second time we were there and the site was muddy due to drainage from the hill above. Not a big deal. We will stay here again. They were very nice. Had a nice play area for the children, good pool.
We were pleased with the condition of the park. Very clean, and neat. However, we will probably not stay there again due to the attitude of the management. We reserved for four nights. When we checked in I was assured that there would be no problem extending. The second day when I ask about extending, the comment was that the space we were in was rented on Sunday afternoon. No offer of another site , although the place was about half empty when we left.
