We have stayed here the last few winters and plan on returning again this fall. Good sized sites. very friendly office staff, very easy to work with. Wi-Fi and cable are great. No-see-ums can be annoying at times. Few activities and no clubhouse. Good big dog run. Good hookups with no extra charges.
Overall a good campground; some of the sites are not very long so when you book a site pick a site that is long enough. Access roads are narrow. Sites can be hard to get into and some sites the tow vehicle or auto barely fit. They do have several areas for overflow parking. Nice beaches and interesting historic forts and gun batteries. It was very wet when we were there; some sites were poorly drained. We were not sorry we went, but probably will not return. It would be a great place to camp in the summer to access the beach.
Sites have been redone since last review. Sites are roomy and all have a view of the lake, most shaded. Lots of room to park boats and extra vehicles in boat launch lot and sometimes on site. Easy drive to Branson. Friendly hosts. Showers do not always have enough hot water and no sewer hookups, otherwise would have been a 10.
Nice campground, good hiking trails. Boat rental in park, WiFi only works near office. No cable but lots of over the air stations. They are in the process of adding full hookup sites. Good CG for kids and grownups alike.
Sites were mostly being used long term. We were only there for one night. Our site was dirt and had an inch or two of water on it when it rained. Never did see campground host. Bathrooms and showers were clean.
Back for our 3rd winter at this park. Large sites, great cable, Wi-Fi and 50 amps included in the $500 monthly rate. Very friendly staff. Not crowded at all, give this place a try. Near great walking trails, boat launches and shopping but in a rural setting. Just north of Crystal River, Fl. between the Withlacoochee River and the barge canal.
Perfect place for a stopover on the way to Florida. Also popular for long term campers. Very reasonable price, easy on & off I-10. Large gravel pull through sites and very friendly owner. This is our 4th stay.
Would have rated a 10 if they had sewer hookups. Plenty of room for the 40 ft motorhome on many sites. Nice private bath/showers. Price was $10.50 with senior access pass. Marina next door rents boats and slips. Most sites have 50 amp and water. Very nice peacefull campground. Recently upgraded.
Stayed there all winter, good big sites, friendly staff. Will be back next winter. Monthly rate is $500. No see ums are a bit annoying but that is common near the water. CG is near good walking paths and several boat launches. They have storage for boat trailers. Located between Withlachoocee river and the barge canal on HW19.
This is a very good park. The staff are nice and helpful. The sites are paved and well kept. The only bad thing is the rules are not for everyone. Some let their dogs out and do NOT put a leash on them. The speed limit is for cars only. If you have a golf cart you may speed. Will go here again just not on a weekend. They need to enforce the leash law on the dogs.
Park has large wide sites, concrete patios. Sandy dirt parking stops can be a little unlevel but sand can be moved to level your camper. Nice pool, free WiFi that works great. Very good laundry and shower facilities. Playground for kids. Paved access roads. Friendly manager and staff. Only negative is some dogs do run loose even though there is a fenced dog run. Located right on hwy 19 at Barge Canal near the trail and boat ramp. Lots of room for an extra vehicle or boat parking on site.
Maybe the nicest site we have ever camped at. Everything was very clean. Site seemed very roomy to me even with three slides. Concrete pull throughs are the best. Old settlers trail across the street and to the left about 200 feet is not to be missed for hikers. Old cabin ruins and many creeks. Owners give sheet with hints on enjoying the area. Take the roads recommended by campground to get there to avoid the traffic. Well maintained and landscaped. I will be back.
Park is very clean, site we got had good shade which was great because it was near 100 degrees. Dog walk area is big but is at the other end of the park than our site. If you have dogs you might want to ask for a site at the end with the dog walk area as they do not allow dogs to do their thing at your campsite. They had both cable with around 80 channels and their wifi works great. The need to repaint their sign. It is faded and gives a bad first impression. Good location just south of town, gas station with diesel right across the street. Most sites are pull through and have enough room to park our truck. We have stayed here twice and would recommend it.
We arrived after hours, site map and directions to our site were taped on the door, worked great. Site had good shade, many sites shaded, some were not. Biggest most expensive sites had no shade. Right across highway from entrance to Mesa Verde, great location. No cable but but almost two dozen stations came in, including a Newfoundland Ca station. Very clean park and restrooms, site was roomy. Would come here again..
