Truly enjoyed our stay at this quiet park. Upon arrival, we were escorted to our site by the owner who helped with set up and stayed with us until we were sure everything was operating properly. After paying your CG fee, all facilities are free (except laundry). We're full-timers and not being nickeled and dimed is very refreshing. Customer service is a priority here. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

While this state park is full of bike riders and jet skis on the weekends, it currently has loads of construction going on in the campground making it less than scenic. The sites are large and well kept but daily passes (required for each vehicle) and water fees make for a very expensive stay. Denver and Wal-Mart are nearby. But, we probably will not return: too expensive for a state park.

This older park has friendly staff but is beginning to show her age. A lot of the sites are extremely unlevel and the hookups are on the wrong side. If you need big rig access, use caution, because the roads are one-way and turns can be a little tight. The nightly rate was reduced off-season. Trash could have been collected more often. Even though there's a Walmart one exit away, we'll try other state parks in the area before choosing this one again.

Unfortunately, previous reviews still hold true. This is an older park that could use some tlc. The bathroom stalls are small, somewhat modern but have a set water time and temperature (which is not always hot). The "premium" sites (extra $$, no discounts) have sewers but the water hookup is a community-type spigot. The lake is nice for fishing and there is a minimal playground for the kids. Overall, the park is adequate and we would return.

This is a larger park with friendly, accommodating staff. Cabin rentals are available. Bathrooms were large, clean but a little dated. One pull-thru available (site 23) but back-ins are easily navigated among sites 10-24. Sites 25-69 are a little tight for larger rigs. Nightly rate lower with senior discounts. Reserved a week - stayed two. The lake is beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this SRA. While we were expecting to only have electricity at Lake Ogallala, we were directed to the Little Thunder campsites which are over the dam. Sites 2 thru 6 are full hookups with 50amps! The sites are large, paved and level, the staff was friendly and helpful and the restrooms were well kept. We'll definitely be back!
