Chose this park due to the closeness to the outlet mall as that was the purpose of the trip, only a 5-10 minute drive. We arrived after dark. The office staff was friendly and escorted us to our site. The site was a long gravel pull-through that left lots of room for the coach and toad. The sites were of average size. The park was clean and well cared for. Trash picked up at your site daily. Our roof mounted Direct TV worked fine, but as others have mentioned it may be to the lack of leaves on the trees.
We spent a few days at this gem of a resort. Check in is a little disorganized as a previous poster mentioned. Great site overlooking the lake and great amenities included with the site rental at the resort just right down the road. Verizon cell service was sketchy and Wi-Fi seemed very weak in the area of the park we were in. We have three children and they loved the kids pool at Rumbling Bald Resort.
We were in the area to see Duck Dynasty and arrived an evening earlier than expected. I phoned ahead to check for a site and they was one available, but the office would be closed when we arrived. They left our paperwork on the board and asked we stop in the next morning to pay. Nice pull through that accommodated our 40' coach and toad. Gravel site, with no problems leveling. Full hook ups. The park is right off the interstate and noise did not seem to be a problem. There is also a Pilot truck stop across the street, so you can top off on your way out. Great park for an overnight!
We were passing through town and it happened to be the Country Music Award weekend and several of the other campgrounds were booked. We spent one evening here at Seven Points and it worked out well. The campground host was polite and helpful. Our site was shaded, paved and the hookups were close. Our site also had a separate table to place your grill, etc., rather than on the picnic table. The site easily handled our 40' coach. No SAT service was available due to the heavy trees, but several other campers had portable dishes set up. Our Verizon mifi worked well. This park is only a 15 - 20 minute drive from all the attractions of Nashville.
We visited the park during the Columbus Day holiday and was also one of their four Halloween weekends. We reserved a super site and was by far the best sites in the park. They include a large concrete pad and concrete picnic area along with the fire pit. Plenty of room for our 40' coach. The park was kept clean and employees were around several times a day picking up trash from sites. Being there on a weekend we had minimal noise from the jets and our children loved seeing them fly low to the ground.
We visited the park in late August. We paid extra to stay in the Sunset Acres section of the park. Our site was crushed stone with a stamped concrete patio which included a fire pit, picnic table, glider swing and lamp post light. It is a central location to all the attractions in the area. We did not use the restroom facilities so I can not comment on them. The Wi-Fi was sketchy at best.
We spent the weekend at Candy Hill. Upon arrival at the office we were greeted by very friendly employees. We were escorted to our site and the older gentleman guided us into a back in spot. The site pad was paved and we had full hook up. The pad was not completely level, but nothing the automatic levelers could not address. The ground were mowed and well kept. We were unable to get a satellite signal and used the park's cable RV. The pictures was o.k., but frosty at times. On Sunday they featured a car show which was a plus before we hit the road.
We used this campground as a place to park the coach while staying with family in the area. The park was recently purchased by Sun Resorts. We had a pull through site (grass) with full hook ups. The clubhouse / office has been remodeled. The roads were being repaved while we were here. Checked out the bath house for this review & they were all new too. Close to I-75 @ exit# 101.
This was our first time to the park. Their website is a little misleading. We paid for a super site. When we arrive the site was covered with cut grass. The site was small. When our awning was extended it was almost touching the unit beside us. The park is about 50% sites and 50% seasonal park models. The park models were well kept, but the golf carts were out of hand. All night long they drove around and the later the evening go the faster they went. The positives... The park is well kept for the most part. The pool area is nice and the location along the river is a nice spot. In the future I would seek a site on the main campground portion away from the seasonal sites as they appear to be larger.
We spent three nights at this state park during the Easter holiday. The sites are paved with a small grass section which has some bare spots that show the sand. We did not use the showers or rest rooms but took a look for this review. They were clean, heated and recently updated. The sites were not huge, but saw 45' motorhomes in the park with no issues. The main attraction is fisherman who can walk a short distance to the Indian River Inlet and fish. During the warmer months the beach is only a short walk. A nice campground for the closeness of Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, Dewey and Bethany beaches - just not a frills which the $40 per night (out of state) reflects.
We were in town visiting family and spent a great fall weekend at Pohick Bay. We had a full hook up site. The site was level with a picnic table and fire ring. The interior roads were paved. A camp store stocked with the basic even in November!! They have a very nice pool (closed when we were there) It seems to be a well run park. The mini golf was closed for the year, but asked at the ranger station and they allowed our kids to play. The park is also close to the Metro.
We spent two nights at the park. The staff was friendly and escorted us to our site. The gentleman even brought firewood to our site. The park was well kept and landscaped nicely. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. The free WiFi worked. We were even able to get Direct TV thru the trees. Our trash was picked up every morning at our site. The store sold more gifts then camp store items, but I also understand their busy season is now over. Two nights of full hook ups was only $57. We will be back!
We just returned from a weekend in Watkins Glen. The campground was great. The staff was friendly and helpful at check in. Our rate per day was $68. We stayed in the Sunset Acres part of the park. Theses sites are large pull throughs with cement patios, lamp post with hanging flower basket and a glider swing. Adjacent to the patio is a concrete area with a fire pit. That park was clean and well taken care of. The trash was picked up everyday at your site. Plenty of activities for kids. Wi-Fi was free and worked well. We will for sure return.
This was our first KOA that we camped out. We spent seven days in the park. The staff is very friendly & willing to help with anything. We stayed in a full hookup, 30amp site. The park is very close to Wrightsville Beach & other neat points of interest. The only reason I did not give a ten rating would be the dust from the roads, and the pool deck surface was painted over and is slippery.
We left early!! This was our first time to the park. When you first drive in, the place looks great. We paid extra to have an outside site. They dumped some sort of sand, rock mixture on the site for a pad. The stuff was still fresh. There was hardly any grass at the site. We had no fire pit or picnic table. The office stopped by to let us know they would take care of it, they never did. The pool was too small for the number of people the park can handle. It was almost like standing room only. This is the first year they are associated with Jellystone, so I hope it will only get better.
We spent Easter break at Castaways. This was our first time visiting the park. We reserved a spot in the Club Castaway section. This section is gated from the rest of the park. It has its' own swimming pool, bath house (which is also key coded for the club section only), water views, and paved sites. The bath house was very clean, the campground was clean and well taken care of. The camp store was nice and had the basic needs you would want. All in all, it is a nice family friendly resort!
We arrived at Cherry Hill around 5:30pm. Check in was smooth and we were given lots of information about the park and taking in the sights. The campground was clean & well kept! As others have stated the sites are on the small side. We paid extra for a premium site which consisted of a small brick patio and table & chairs. The site was not too level and required about four inches to level the front of the motorhome. My personal opinion would be skip the bricks and install a level concrete pad to be considered premium... Although we did not use the bath houses they were clean and well kept. The park offered a 20% coupon for any meal in their Cafe, so we had a great breakfast there on Sunday morning. They serve a full menu in the Cafe. The wifi worked well and was free.
We just returned from spending the weekend at American Heritage RV Park. We arrived after hours and found our reservation and map pinned to the board just as promised. Arrived to find our site with no problems. Most sites including ours had a concrete slab and picnic table. The park was about 3/4 full with the warm weather and two clubs here. The bath house was clean and heated. The Wi-Fi was slow at times. The only reason I did not rate a 10 was due to the roads through out the park. There was little stone and lack of pavement leading to dusty conditions on the main park roads. Not sure why they would not pave or stone to keep the dust down.
We spent two nights in this RV park. Upon arrival we were escorted to our site. We had pull-through site located in the big rig section. The site was gravel with a picnic table and fire ring. For a chilly fall weekend there was a fair amount of campers in the park. We were in the 700 sites and they appeared to be fairly new. The 200 section had a little bit wider sites compared to our section. The office did a great job a of keeping plenty of space between other campers. The park was very clean and the bath houses were 100% clean and WARM! Trash was picked up at your site several times a day. All employees were friendly. We plan to return in the summer for the kids to use the water slides.
