OK campground with a lake resort kind of feel. Somewhat roomy sites, but for many shade is sparse and sites are not isolated from one another. Campground fronts the lake. There is a boat ramp a short distance away in the park. This is a good campground if you like small-lake boating or fishing.

Very nice campground. There are two campgrounds. We stayed in the Chase Point campground, in one of the sites closest to the lake - the campground road and a row of trees are between the site and the lake. Very roomy and isolated sites. Nice trees, and a nice distance between sites. Excellent hiking trails and a lake with canoe rental made for a very pleasant 5 night stay. No electric sites were available for our entire 5 day stay, so my only criticism would be they should add more electric sites. Great Minnesota north land camping; dark nights, excellent starry skies, loons and other water birds calling on the lakes.

Campsites in the main loop (pull through) were very, very narrow. From electrical post to electrical post, our site (#20) was 18 feet wide. With our camper parked as close to the electrical post as we could get it, our awning ended just 3 feet from the next site. With the exception of the outer ring of sites, everyone was cheek by jowl. We were so close, we could hear the camper next to us breathing (not snoring) in his tent. This was just about the worst state park campground I've ever been in. Iowa needs to remove 10 or 15 sites and spread everyone out a bit.
