This was an overnight stop for us. As KOA's go I'd say this was better than average. The pool was clean and well maintained. The campground had no hidden surprises. Access and maneuverability is above average. WiFi and cable TV worked well. All in all, a good choice in Van Horn.
This is easily one of the nicest, most well planned and executed parks in the country. Whoever designed this park should be doing more of the same elsewhere. The sites are very large and many have beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The pools, outbuildings, and office are built to the highest standards using fine construction materials and quality craftsmanship. I honestly can't think of a single negative issue at this resort. It certainly is first class.
This is likely the best place to stay in Las Cruces. With a little effort, it could be a real gem. The wifi is very slow, the cable TV picture is snowy, and there is no pool. Hard to believe a "resort" with such impressive infrastructure and available space does not have a pool. They have a hot tub which, in the summer, they turn the heat down. When it's 95 degrees out, a 98 degree hot tub is not where I want to be. If your stay doesn't require a pool, TV or wi-fi, you'll be very happy here. The resort is well kept, and the sites are roomy and well laid out. It's very easy access off Interstate 10 and reasonably quiet.
