This park is outstanding. Easy access, grass, clean and quiet. The weekend we stayed was full however, it was still really nice. We actually live only 20 miles from this park and believe it or not it is still a nice "vacation" away from home. We will be back.
We really liked this park. We were surprised with the size of the sites, enough room for the truck and 30 ft 5th wheel end to end. Level concrete pads, grass between sites. Clean showers, bathrooms and laundry room. Close to downtown Napa. The only downfall is that there is no cable TV hookup. That is why we rated it an 8. We will for sure be back here to stay.
Like previously said: this RV Park is "Really Noisy"! It is right off the highway and you can hear traffic all day. It's not much of a problem during the day, however at night it becomes a problem. It actually kept us awake. Other than that, it is great. About 300 yards walking distance to the beach over some dunes on a sandy path, about 5 minutes from Monterey, 10 minutes from Carmel, 5 minutes to Moss Landing. Sites are level. You do get a discount with AAA or Good Sam's Club (10%). We will stay here again due to location. But next time we will bring our ear plugs!!!
We really enjoyed this RV park. This was not our first choice in the Morro Bay area, however it will be from now on. I rated this an 8 only because there isn't any grass. It is a gravel lot and very level. We did not hear the concrete plant that was mentioned in a previous review. In fact, if I had not seen it with my eyes, I would not even had known it was there. Very quiet park, people were very nice. Spaces are large. We were very pleased with this place. Space 17 is tight due to an fire hydrant. We all agreed that we would stay here again. Please note that this RV park is separated by a 2 lane road. Each park is fenced and nice. But we stayed on the larger side (the north side) of the park which accommodates 30+ foot trailers.
We enjoyed Casini Ranch. We were here for three nights in July. Weather was great. We had friends who came here over the winter and said it was muddy. So maybe avoid the winter months if you are not into that. We were very pleased with the campground. We had full hookups. Bathrooms were clean, but old. The staff was always available and very nice people. The Russian River runs along the grounds. Nice calm water when we were here, boat rentals and pebble rock beach. There is absolutely NO cell phone service here. There are a few pay phones if you must make calls. Also, DO NOT USE YOUR G.P.S. TO LOCATE THIS PLACE!!! We made the mistake of using our G.P.S. and it took us on the Bohemian Hwy! HUGE MISTAKE!!! Avoid this "so called" HWY at all cost! It was absolutely horrible! It was a paved goat trail, at best. It was very narrow; I don't know if we could have actually passed a car on it. Heavy canopy overgrowth of trees and plants. We actually had branches in our awning when we finally arrived at the park. It took us forever to get there The road went through a huge canyon; no where to turn around with a 5th wheel. We literally thought we were going to the pits of hell! It was horrible. We were fortunate to get cell service and call the park. They were very helpful and walked us through the directions (they actually got on the computer map quest and gave us directions while on the phone). When we finally arrived we where happy with the park, and after our direction disaster. The margaritas tasted even better!
This place was difficult to find. We used our GPS, and it still took us to the wrong location. Luckily there were people there that gave us directions. It is actually in the north harbor. This was our 2nd trip with our 5th wheel. The sites have sewer, power, water, but no cable which would have been nice with a 4 year old. Not easy for us to back into our site, but remember this was only our 2nd trip, and we didn't back up all the way into our site (left about 5 ft behind us) which allowed us to pull out easily since the sites are fairly close together and there is a curb/sidewalk about 30 ft in front of the truck once you are hooked up to your trailer. We actually hooked up at an angle to get out without any problems. There is no beach; you are actually at a boat harbor. The beach is within walking distance. Sites are like a parking lot, but nice. We were only here for one night, but would go back.
The camp ground appeared to be about 1/2 full at the time. We had a pull through site with full hookups. It was quiet. Pool was great, nice and warm as it is heated. I think it might be a little tricky to get out of the pull-through had the park been full. About 10 minutes drive from Santa Cruz. We really enjoyed our stay here.
