This is our new home, as of the end of March, 2009. This is a new park, so many improvements and facilities/attractions are in the works, so I hear. Though there are no shaded slots as of yet, the Owner has planted MANY trees. The slots are not paved, but that's not a big deal. The park is VERY well-maintained. Full hookup, though there is no cable or wi-fi (may be in the works?). This park also has slots available for mobile homes in the front. I have to say this: The Owner is the BEST. His ambition and desire is that all of his tenants are comfortable, and he goes above and beyond anything we have ever experienced with ANY park manager/owner. The park is right next door to the Jennings City Park, which features a large fishing pond, an Oil & Gas Museum/Visitors Center, the "Chateau De Cocodrilles"(Alligator House), where you can see a few huge alligators(plus get the chance to hold a baby 'gator)and one of the biggest loggerhead turtles I've ever seen. There are TONS of toys for the kids to play on, plus a paved trail around the pond for exersise. The City Park also has many seasonal festivals. This is a family campground, and rules are enforced (no loud, late-night parties, trashed-up yards, etc), so if you want a good nights rest, or are looking for somewhere to homestead without having to worry about the kind of neighbors you might have (Manager/Owner are careful about keeping a safe, peaceful atmosphere) then you need to check this park out. I'm really only making an educated guess as to how many slots are in this park, but I can tell you it's really pretty large. I'm looking forward to seeing some of the plans I've heard mentioned come about. We are enjoying our stay here very much. The nightly rate may seem a bit expensive, but if you stay here on a weekly or monthly basis you will get a HUGE discount, believe me!

This was a pretty nice park, overall. Lots of shade trees, playgrounds for the kids, wildlife, hiking/biking/equestrian trails, swimming pool, laundromat, showers and a huge lake to fish in, plus some of the finest cabins I have ever seen. The cons were the fact that so many of the slots were very, very unlevel. Ours, and those of the several friends who came along, were so bad that the front of our fifth-wheel was basically sitting on the ground! The slots are paved, as are the roads. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we were forced to cut short our stay here when someone ran over, and broke, a main water line that had been dug up to be repaired, thereby shutting off water to that entire side of the park. We would visit again.

This was a very nice park. The staff were efficient and courteous, and park was very well maintained. There were a couple of cons--the roads were very narrow, and, according to the staff campers had to be "approved" to be able to stay there. We have no idea what that meant, but we obviously met the criteria;-). It was also pretty darned expensive at $30 per night for 2 people, plus $5 for each additional person. The laundromat was clean, and there is a pool, as well as an on site convenience store, plus another store and meat market down the road, which are owned by the same people. There are stocked ponds, a "Party Room", and several cabins for rent. We would certainly visit again.

This is not on our list of "will visit again" for sure. There were some pros. Full hookup, laundromat, convenience store. The cons were the fact that the place was filthy. The laundromat was so bad I wouldn't even go inside, and I didn't even BOTHER checking out the bathrooms. The employees inside the on-site store were also filthy: dirty clothes, dirty hands, etc. YUCK! This place made a very poor impression, and I'd have to say it was the nastiest park we've ever been to!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Pay E Bas. Our stay lasted for about 9 days, and we fished in the stocked ponds (no luck) bar-b-qued under the pavilion, which was complete with picnic tables (and a big bar-b-que pit!), had burgers at the Mom & Pop burger stand, which is run by the park owners, and basically had a great time. There is also a small store on-site, where you can buy fishing tackle, staples and copious amounts of alcohol;-) The only downside to this park is that nothing is paved, and there is no cable, no wi-fi and all of those modern creature comforts. But, hey, you're camping, right? The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and drive through the park regularly, making sure all is well, and that their guests are enjoying their stay. We will certainly be visiting this park again.

We loved our stay here. We went along with a few friends and had a great time. At the time the park was almost completely empty, so we were able to choose the perfect spots we wanted, which were right on the lake. There are tons of shade trees, swings for the kids, a laundromat and showers, which were very clean. There are also cabins for rent, and some good fishing, too! The Staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming, which is very important, in our opinion. The only downside to this park is the fact that there were no sewer hookups, and we had to use the dump station, but that really wasn't a biggie. Otherwise, we would have given this park a perfect rating. We will definitely visit this park again.

We stayed here from Aug.'08-Feb.'09. We were impressed with the parks features (security gated, fenced,Wi-Fi, Cable, etc), though we did find the rate rather expensive. At first, all was well, though we found the Manager obnoxious from the beginning. After a couple months problems began to pop up, such as late-night parties which kept us awake(The "Quiet Time" was actually supposed to be 10pm). This should have been taken care of by the Staff, but wasn't. This went on for a bit before we decided to move closer to the front to escape the noise ($100 more, but worth it). Then, the real problems began to appear. The Management was totally inefficient, unwilling to help with problems, and quite rude. The office was almost always empty. We had to walk to the Conoco next door if we needed to speak with them, for all the good it did. Whatever problems we had were always passed off as our fault (faulty equipment, etc). This is a nice park, well-maintained, clean, with paved streets and pads. In spite of all of the nice amenities, things became unbearable, and we pulled up stake and left. Maybe some day they'll staff the place with employees who are able to do their jobs. I must mention that there is one employee who did everything she could to help, but she could only do so much. Come to find out, the Management problems were very well-known by the other residents of the park. This park is fine for a night or 2, but certainly not for anything long-term.
