This is a great campground for tents and pop-ups. Well-kept, very wooded and terrific for the weekend warriors. Family friendly on beautiful lake with many lakeside sites. Nice beach, boat launch, big playground, well kept bath and showers. There are no sewer or water hook-ups. Level, dirt sites with large, extra nice firepits. Campground roads are paved, but narrow and so winding that it is very difficult to navigate. We saw several people accidentally drive into the picnic area and have to back their units out. There is one dump and water station, but the waiting line for it crosses the traffic line to the boat launch. We were lucky that the campground was not busy the weekend we were there, because the roads are so narrow, and there are many trees making it difficult to back in our trailer. The people are very friendly and helpful and they work hard keeping the park nice. Great for families and camping. I wouldn't recommend for big rigs.

If you enjoy a very "Campy" atmosphere, this is for you. It is aptly named, located in an old pine forest. Narrow, dirt roads, no paved sites, very little grass, minimal sunshine. Dark, shady park. Tiny campsites, crowded together. Lots of older, seasonal trailers. The entry drive is deceptively modern, sunny and blacktop. The surrounding countryside is beautiful. Gorgeous scenery and lovely towns.

We rate this park a 10 plus! It is by far the nicest park we have ever stayed in. Extraordinarily clean and well kept. Staff are helpful and friendly. Roads are black top with nice lighting. Lot sizes are large, with generous cement pads and patios. Fire pits are heavy duty, large and well placed, some with BBQ grates. There are quite a few seasonal units which are nicely landscaped. There are many waterfront sites. I don't think there is a bad site in the park. Most have a lovely view. The sandy beach and clear water are clean. There is a boat launch with docks. The surrounding towns are beautiful and offer everything you could want. Camping here is a spectacular experience!

Extremely clean park. Owners are friendly, hardworking and helpful. Smaller, lovely, park, on a good sized, pretty lake with plenty of boat parking. Quite a lot of seasonal units. Lots are a generous size and level. Good fire pits. There are 2 long fishing docks. They do try to route the traffic "one way" inside the park. The signage could be better and it's a little goofy to figure out at first. Nice park, quaint town, plenty of unique shopping and places to eat. We look forward to returning and recommend it.

We had a great site with a bridge view. For a large park, we didn't have the feeling that we were camping with 800 other families. There is easy access to the bike trail, we were able to ride our bikes to Macinaw City, catch the ferry to the Island, and rode our bicycles around the perimeter of the Island. We have done this trip several times, we recommend that if you are not an experienced biker, or if you have small children, you may be better off driving in to town. The biking on the Island can be long, uphill, challenging, and at times congested. However, it will be the most beautiful bike ride you have ever taken! We have rented a horse and buggy on previous trips, and found that to be an enjoyable way to tour the Island. We have camped here 3 times, we hope to return and highly recommend it!

The owners are friendly and helpful. The park is clean and well kept with excellent laundry facilities. We visited the area for several days and had the opportunity to compare this park to others. This park is gated and well lit, we felt safe, although we would not walk the neighborhood after dark. There is a convenient bus stop in front of the park. The owners cheerfully assisted us with good tips for utilizing NOLA public transportation.

There is good signage on the highway directing you to this park. This is a clean park with amazing large sites. It's a great place for groups and families as the basketball courts and playground areas are well lit for evening play. The only reason we did not rate this a 10 is because they do not have full hook ups available. However, the dump station is clean, convenient and easy to use. We would stay here again and recommend it.

This is the nicest park in the area, convenient to all the attractions. The staff is very friendly: they work around the clock keeping things in clean, working order. We had a pull through site on the end: it was a nice, generous size. The laundry facilities are clean and easy to use. The campground office has a good gift shop with a variety of reasonably priced souvenirs. We had a good experience and would recommend this park.

Exceptionally clean park. Laundry facility was clean and easy to use. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgable. The trolley stop at the campground entrance is very convenient, the trolley drivers were friendly and helpful. This is a busy, congested town, we recommend taking advantage of the trolley service, it is easier to use than other places we have visited. For fifty cents it is well worth it! We highly recommend this park. If we are lucky enough to return to this beautiful area, we would definitely stay at this park.
