We were very pleased with Gettysburg Campground. All the office folks were friendly and helpful at check-in. Our site was wooded and a small river was a stone's throw away. The pull-through site was level, graveled and all the hookups were conveniently located. Good cable TV and free Wi-Fi. Bathroom and showers were very clean with lots of hot water. The campground is close to town and all the battlefield attractions. We would be happy to revisit this campground in the future.
This is a very nice campground with both wooded and open sites. Our pull-through corner site was level, nicely graveled, and had convenient hookups. The campground is picturesque with a park-like appearance. Wi-Fi worked fine and TV reception using our antenna was good. Bathrooms and showers were very clean with lots of hot water.
We really liked Rivers Edge! Our site was next to the river with an active railroad track on the other shore. The weather was warm enough to sit outside next to the campfire with our favorite beverages and watch the river and the trains. The campsite was reasonably level and the hookups were easily accessible. The sewer hookup at our site was raised making dumping kind of interesting. Fortunately, the folks behind us left so I used the sewer for that site and it was much easier. The campground has a snack bar with ice cream. Be sure to ask Susie to make you a milkshake. She's an expert! Rivers Edge is convenient to a couple of Frank Lloyd Wright houses. As I said at the beginning, this place is wonderful. Rivers Edge is right on a terrific rail trail bike path that runs for miles along the river. We liked it enough to stay an extra day.
This gem of a campground doesn't reveal itself right away as you drive through a small residential area that leads you to a dirt road through some woods. Then, you start to see RVs parked on wooded sites as you approach the office. It is when you walk up the stairs to the deck outside the office and look around that you realize how nice this place is. Many of the RVs you see are seasonal and that's a reflection on how well Debbie and Scott, the owners, run the place. We parked our travel trailer in the middle of a section of terraced, manicured sites separated by decorative split rail fences. Each site was a level pull-through featuring nice bushes or young trees and a small grassy area. Full hookups were readily accessible. Cable TV had a full lineup of channels. Free Wi-Fi at the site was strong and fast. The bathrooms and showers were spotless with plenty of free hot water. Very friendly owners, beautiful campsites (either wooded or open), terrific amenities - can't get much better than this. We'll definitely be returning!
Canyon Country Campground is located in the middle of the most beautiful part of Pennsylvania. The owners have created a delightful campground with nicely wooded sites and well maintained facilities. The bathrooms and showers are kept scrupulously clean. My wife particularly appreciated the potpourri placed in the women's bathroom. We would be happy to visit Canyon Country again.
This campground is pleasantly situated on the banks of the St. Lawrence Seaway near Ogdensburg, NY. The camp director is very helpful and can direct you to local attractions and eating spots. He usually keeps his own 5th wheel RV parked on the campground so the security is fine. The campground is mostly open with gravel pads for RVs. Nice beach area for swimming during warm weather. TV reception is fine for a number of Canadian stations across the river. We would certainly return here on future trips.
This campground is beautifully situated on the Niagara River Parkway across from the Niagara River. A 50-kilometer paved bike/walking path runs along the Parkway all the way to Niagara Falls and beyond. The campground is nicely wooded with well-maintained gravel sites. Our site had an unhindered view of the river though at the height of the season, I'm sure the neighboring trailers would have provided a partial block. The toilets and showers are kept very clean. The owner was very pleasant and the campground reflects her personality. We would certainly stay here on any future trips.
Timberland Campground's new owners are doing a terrific job of making this a welcoming and delightful place to spend a few days. Located very near the White Mountains National Forest, this campground is surrounded by beautiful scenery and picturesque villages. The campground itself is nicely wooded and very neat. Bathrooms and showers are kept scrupulously clean. Basic WiFi and cable TV allow you to stay in touch with the world if that's what you want. We loved listening to the trains that pass by the campground once or twice a day. This is one that we hope to revisit in the future.
