We are Escapees and paid the daily rate of $17.50. We liked this park a lot. Services all worked fine. Verizon worked very well, so we did not try the WiFi. Although there are full time residents there, the park was clean and well organized. We did not see anything that looked tired or messy. Laundry was not large, but clean, reasonably priced, and air conditioned. We were able to go to several locations up in the mountains from here including Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, etc. One comment about arriving at park. DO NOT take the route our GPS recommended, which was to take 162 up from exit 376 off the 40. DO take directions that send you up the 75 to 170 which is Raccoon Valley Rd. 170 from the 162 is narrow, many low trees and a very scary overpass. We barely made it through: one lane to get under it.
This is a nice park. We stayed at Passport America rates and appreciated being allowed to stay an unlimited amount of time at that rate. All services worked well. Laundry was ok. 2 large cap washers, one of which didn't work. 1 small washer that worked. Dryers were adequate for the size of laundry. Area was well maintained. We had fun with the ducks that ran around the park. Verizon was not very good. Adequate for a call, but data quite slow. Not far from Charleston. We stayed here while seeing Fort Sumter, Yorktown, Charleston Museum, etc. Manager of park was very nice. They gave us coupons for Gilligan's, a nice seafood restaurant nearby where food was very good.
We stayed here for one night. Campground was rather large and pretty. Spaces were fairly close together, but adequate to allow slides out. Management was very helpful and responsive. The space we were assigned had a leaking water spigot, and they fixed it immediately. Campground is immediately off the freeway so freeway noise was noticeable but it did not keep us awake. There is a nice little store on site where they sell ice cream, sodas, beer, etc. Verizon was ok, but not great. Did not use laundry, or other facilities.
We stayed at Passport America rates. Pro's for this park: level, generous spaces. Very grassy, but maintained well. Drainage was good in spite of lots of rain. Lots of trees in part of the park. We stayed in open area and were able to get good satellite service. They do have cable for those who don't have satellite. Easy to get into Savannah for tourist activities. Laundry was ok. 2 large cap washers $2.00 each, 3 or 4 other washers, $1.25 each. 6 dryers, 3 of which don't work. $1.75 (I think) for each dry. There are 2 laundry rooms. Never saw the other. Cons: We never spoke to a person associated with park management in the 7 days we stayed. There was one man doing weed-whacking. Someone did come into the office each day to pick up checks, briefly, but all check-ins are pick a space, fill out a form, leave check. Hence, the park feels like no one is running it. Everything is well organized, but feels distant. Only check or cash for payment. Lots of road noise from 315, but you get used to it. Verizon was terrible here, although their site says should be full coverage at this address. They do have free WiFi which worked most of the time. We felt we got good value for our money.
The rate paid is a weekly rate. This is a very nice RV park in Cocoa. Shopping and most restaurants are in Cocoa Beach about 10 miles away. Park is well managed, attractive. Laundry is excellent. 8 washers and 8 dryers: all work. $1.50 for wash & $.75 for dry. Laundry is very clean. Management very helpful. We stayed here while going to Kennedy Space Center, Disney World, Universal Orlando, and other attractions. Pool is clean and well maintained. We will definitely come back. Verizon is excellent here. Lots of toll roads in area, so be prepared with change.
This is a great park with full hookups. Laundry is excellent. Park is quiet and they seem to do a good job of managing the park. Neighborhood isn't the greatest, but we felt safe in the park. We were fairly close to stores and tourist locations. Very close to Florida Turnpike. Verizon worked here although a little slow for data. Park environment is very nice. Lots of well cared-for grass and trees. Easy access to satellite for Direct TV. We would stay here again.
Our rate reflected an advertised special that we received because we asked for it. This was a very nice park. Laundry was great, if a little expensive. We would have stayed longer if we could have afforded the time. Only complaint about park is that there is a large empty meadow next to the storage area near where we parked. People use it to fly large model airplanes and do so very early in the morning. We were awakened both Saturday and Sunday by 7:00 with the noise from the planes.
This is a very nice park. We stayed 2 weeks. It gets very busy on the weekend, but noise level not a problem. Spaces are not very far apart so it's quite crowded feeling when the park is full. Laundry free and well maintained. WiFi in park, free and worked well. Most of the sites did not have sewer on site, but dump was close by. Verizon worked very well there. Shopping and services reasonably near by.
This is an old park with lots of permanent residents. However, we found that all the facilities worked, the families there were quiet and pleasant to be around. Lots of children, but very well controlled. Laundry room was large, clean and well equipped. Price was excellent for the area. Our Verizon worked well here, so we didn't use the WiFi. However, there is WiFi for free in the park if you can get it. We could not as we were in a back row. We paid for a week and the price reflects that.
We drove through this park on a Saturday. There is another comment that they can accommodate a 40 ft rig. We never saw one that could accommodate anything larger than a 30 ft trailer if that. Although the price is good for the area, I cannot recommend this park unless you are ready for many people, lots of noise and very crowded conditions. We would not consider returning to this park. It is also quite a distance outside the main part of the city and not really handy for doing the tourist thing.
This RV park is definitely improving. We stayed there for 3 weeks. Close enough to Panguitch to run back and forth easily, but outside town enough to have a nice view. Electricity, water and sewer all worked well. We had 50 amps. Wi-Fi supposedly available in office, but never tried it. Laundry a bit basic, but sufficient and not expensive. Office is rather shabby. However, new owner is working hard on this park. The landscaping and outdoor facilities are being upgraded as we speak. Landscaping is very attractive. A new putting green is underway. We will definitely return here next time in Panguitch.
This was a great park to stay at. We were having mechanical problems that delayed our departure, and the park personnel worked with us, allowing us to have the monthly rate even though we had already stayed one week. We stayed here 1 month and 3 days. We plan to come back. I would give the park a higher rating, but although the roads in the park are level and smooth, they are dirt and there is a lot of dust. Laundry room is clean and fully functional. There are 3 washers and 4 dryers. Park was full the whole time we were here, but it was quiet day and night. There is a GREAT little Mexican food restaurant in the front of the lot called Nick's Tacos. Food is awesome. Opens at 7:00 most days and breakfast tacos with homemade flour tortillas are very good. Frozen yogurt place in same area is also excellent. Super Wal-Mart in walking distance. Home supply place next door. Police Dept on other side. Very safe feeling place. Close to all in Fredericksburg. Had a really great time. Will definitely come back. We paid $250 a month plus electricity. Verizon phones and data cards worked well here.
This is a very nice park. Owner has worked hard to make it very attractive. Laundry room acceptable with 4 washers & 4 dryers @$1.00 each. There were deer and foxes around - lots of fun. Wireless was reachable at our sites, but was not as stable as we would have liked. Warning - Verizon cell and broadband are very bad contrary to Verizon's coverage map. Net10 Trac phone also got very bad signal. Good little store. Pool room and spa on site.
This is a very well run park. Laundry room is great. Park is a bit pricey but fair for the area. Fairly easy access to lots of shopping and great if you are getting repairs done: Beaudry and La Mesa RV dealerships right next door. Camping World within walking distance. Verizon data access was great so we didn't use Wi-Fi here. There is a very good Mexican restaurant in west Tucson: Karichimaka. Very good food at a reasonable price. Lots of tourist stuff in the area: Sonora Desert Museum, Kitt Peak National Observatory, Mission San Xavier Del Bac to mention a few. Only complaint: landscaping is a bit spare. However, park is very clean and orderly. All services work very well.
This campground used to be the the American RV & Marine Resort & Rally Campground. It is now just American RV Park. It is no longer associated with Camping World, although it remains behind the Camping World facility in Anthony, TX. The owner is trying to upgrade the service here. WiFi has been added. It is TengoNet and it works well. They have provided plenty of antennas so reception is very good and fast. This is the first time I have used TengoNet for free and was impressed. Currently, only the lower campground is open. This is a very large facility and could accommodate a very large number of RVs. I'm not even sure how many. The hook-ups are modern, spaces are very wide and long. There are no toilet or shower facilities. The on-site camp host told us the owner is working on providing a building with bathroom facilities, laundry, etc. It is unknown when that will be done. Although the hook-ups are excellent, this campground has all the ambiance of a truck stop. There is virtually no landscaping. The view of the mountains is quite dramatic, however. We used both a Verizon and AT&T data card and got good service. Verizon cell phone worked very well.
This is a very nice, attractive park. We were there in October and the trees were lovely with their changing colors. Our satellite TV was able to be tuned in with some effort. WiFi was free but we had trouble connecting when facing away from the office. Verizon EVDO was very strong, however. The lady in the office was very friendly and helpful. Nice little store as well. They had some frozen foods for sale which was nice since we were far from a restaurant.
We stayed at this park 2 years ago, and for a RV park associated with a gas station, it wasn't too bad. However, this trip we were disappointed. The sites were difficult to get into because picnic tables had been left out in spaces. Electricity did not work at one site. The overall sense was one of less attention to maintenance. While the spaces are mostly pull th roughs, many are not very long. On the plus side, sites are level, and some have full hookups, meaning sewer there too. Not all spaces have sewer. The park was fairly quiet and walled off from the gas station and associated motel. There is a small restaurant on the site too. We ate there two years ago and found the food disappointing, so did not eat there this time. A good place to stop if you're on the I10 and just want to stop for the night, but not scenic and a little shabby.
