We stayed here with 2 of our grandkids in June, 2010, for 5 nights. This is a fantastic park. The camping fee includes a $6/day park entry fee. The kids loved the area--lots of wildlife, nice views. This is a great location for visiting all the tourist areas in & around Colorado Springs. You'll probably need reservations to secure a site during prime vacation time.
We needed an overnight campsite on our way to Yellowstone--that's all this campground is. Overpriced, salty water that's undrinkable, pay showers, gravel & mud puddles everywhere. Wi-fi was available, but required a credit card in case you went over the allotted "free time". Most campers were pipeline workers at the time we were there. Would not stay there again unless absolutely necessary!
