One of our favorite local campgrounds to bring our children. In the summer there is a water slide and several pools, even for your youngest children. There is a restaurant, game room and activities daily for the kids including hay rides and bands for the adults. You can bring or rent golf carts here. There are many spots to rent. We are frequent visitors of this park and hope to visit other Yogi Bear campgrounds in the near future.

My rating is not just for the park, but for the people that run the park. We were running from Hurricane Gustav in Louisiana. We arrived at this campground at 3am and were welcomed with an honor box that we happily left our personal information. We were able to get a few hours sleep and once we talked to personnel and had to evacuate more North. We were wished good luck and prayers and were told we didn't owe them a dime. Thanks so much Dry Creek for your hospitality. Their last words were, "We hope to see you again!" Yes, you will! We didn't get to enjoy the lake and the quiet shady area we were in, but for a very limited time. There is a day use area that we saw a sign for and it is far and away from hustle and bustle which we love for our (4) children. We will visit again and stay to enjoy!! Thanks again!

Happy to escape from Hurricane, and have a safe place to sleep with power. But, for anyone wanting to bring (4) children somewhere to keep their minds off of the disaster at home, this is not the place to bring them. It is merely a parking lot and nothing more. This seems to me like a park for workers. It is very loud, by the railroad and the interstate, and I was unable to sleep much at all. There is nowhere for children to play, literally. We had to leave to bring them elsewhere to expel energy. Only positive, is electricity, and I brought my laptop and with WIFI, I was able to watch the Hurricane information locally at my home with updates. It just isn't a vacation spot for children. It is, though, close to many attractions in Memphis.
