Although getting to the park can be disconcerting as you drive through the industrial area of town, the park itself is a breath of fresh air. The main buildings are very new, with excellent bathrooms and very nice showers. There is no shade and very little separation between sites. However, it is neat and clean and in good repair. I agree with a previous poster as our site wasn't level either. I wouldn't consider this a destination park but it is an excellent stopover or place to stay to see the town and area. A pool would be great but they say one isn't in the planning. All staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
Although the sites are lined up in two rows resembling a parking lot, they are well kept and neat with each having a nice picnic table. Beach access was very convenient and is less crowded as this location is a few miles north of the main part of town. The ocean can be heard from sites. The bathroom was very nicely clean and fairly recently painted. The staff was excellent and seemed very well organized. They allowed us a very late check-out time on Sunday without extra charge as there was an event in Long Beach that day and demand for RV spots for Sunday evening was not going to be high.
Clean, well maintained state park on the Columbia River. Sites are very open with little vegetation for privacy, but with very many tall, beautiful, excellent shade trees. These trees are very pretty in the Fall when we've been here. This park is near the railroad & truck traffic of US97 and, although the sound of these can get loud, it was tolerable to us. There are lots of easy pull-through sites.
We've had excellent stays at Wildhorse RV Park. We like the perimeter sites, especially the sites along the east side and the wheat fields. The views of the mountains are wonderful. The RV park has its own outdoor pool separate from the hotel. It's nice but could use more shade covers as there is no natural shade. This is a comfortable, quiet place to stay.
We had a very comfortable 2-night stay. The trees are very nice and the shade greatly appreciated. The slide pool is great but there is an extra $6 charge for it that you need to ask about if they don't mention it at check-in. For $10 you can get the slide pool and mini-golf combo. In the snack bar the pizza is excellent. We'd definitely stay here again on our travels though Idaho.
