Lordsburg is a bleak, former railroad town "in the middle of nowhere" but often a logical place for a night's stop. This KOA worked for us. It seems minimal, and the landscape certainly is, but this is harsh country for growing a lush garden. There is little shade ,but the trees are doing the best they can. The staff was very friendly, the grounds well-maintained, the bathrooms clean and well supplied. All the usual KOA amenities are here from tent sites to cabins; it just isn't the place to plan to spend any length of time unless you really, really love the desert.

This was our next to last stop on a 47-day cross country trip during which we stayed in 37 parks and campgrounds. LOVED this park - definitely one of the top 3 of our trip. The spaces are close, but there are lots of trees, and everything is exceptionally well maintained. There are 2 small grassy areas for relaxing and a dog area. We travel with a dog and really, really appreciated the dedicated dog wash inside a small fenced area. There was a large laundry tub, hose with sprayer, hot and cold water, counter area to dry off - perfect for our dirty 13-pound dog. Such a thoughtful thing to provide. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This park is a labor of love for the owners. We got very lucky arriving without reservations and getting the last space; strongly suggest calling ahead for reservations!
