Great spot, simple, close to Columbia which offer many attactions including a world class zoo. All of the necessary store are within 2-3 miles, lowes, Walmart and it is next door to Piggily Wiggily, Auto Zone, barber, liquor store and there is a propane dealer in the parking lot of the flea. I stay here because it is directly behind a first class huge flea market which I have sold at many times and it is as good as a full blown antique show for profitability. The campground is simple, clean, very friendly. The sites are large with cement patios. You can't beat the price for what you get. This park is in my top five Favorites.
This is a very friendly park, well kept by people who care. It is a simple park, few rules, clean, very nice dump station if you do not have sewer at the campsite. Wi-fi available, I used an aircard, they have great sites for Sat TV but also have cable available for a slight fee. Sites are large with firering and picnic table. All sites have grass or good gravel. They were installing a new minature golf course when I was there. I stayed an additional night. I would give it a ten but there are some things missing that are not necessary but keep it from being a ten. I will certainly put them on my top ten list. They CARE.
Seems to be very good value for the price. It is not fancy but is clean, has good utilities, decent size sites, and is close to everything around Fort Myers, with easy access. It is Tamiami Village member owned which is adjacent. The staff is very friendly. I will add this park to my favorite list.
Great park, hard to find, when you enter go to left not well defined. It really couldn't be any better except for the Amtrak and Metro train that goes by VERY frequently right on the perimeter of the park 100 yards away at high speed.
Very clean park with large gravel level sites, there are no bad sites. Has excellent views, friendly staff, good cellular signal, good Wi-Fi, utilities are great, and a nice clean pool. There are limited activities for children. This is my second visit here and the facilities are even better than last year.
You have three choices in this area of South Myrtle Beach. Pirateland, Ocean Lakes and Lakewood. They are side by side with Ocean view Sites. I have stayed at all three many times They are all terrific campgrounds with caring staffs. My personal preference is Ocean Lakes, Pirate land and Lakewood in that order.
Excellent place to stop for the night, or more. An hour from Myrtle Beach and a lot less expensive. Good utilities, nice staff, clean, quiet, recreation is S.O.B. facility. I stop here every time it is possible.
This is one of the nicest State Park Campgrounds I have ever visited. Friendly, clean, well run, good utilities. Not many activities for kids but with the ocean and the setting the kids should discover nature as it should be anyway.
I did not have a feeling of being welcome at this campground on arrival, it was all business. The brochure does not tell you about the abutting property with the kid with the motocross bike that he or she practices with when he or she gets home from school until dark. It also does not mention the permanent residents party that starts at 4:00 PM and last until whenever most every night. They finally figured out how to cut the grass on my third day there. The campsites all could use some gravel to help the mud problems. As advertised they do have 5 improved sites with cement patios at premium price. I may be a bit unfair because it had rain prior to my arrival but I feel it should have been in tip-top shape for the price, $36.00/ night, and the time of year, mid April, which is off season as far as I am concerned.
